@Janormelias, it's likely navigation related as Hybrid described. You may find it helpful to leave the vehicle's navigation app open on the big screen so that you can see the text alert when the chimes sound.

Another possibility is that the driver has the lane keeping system set to audibly alert when the vehicle leaves the current lane without the driver using their turn signal.
No audible lane-keeping alerts are set in my car. I don't think that's it. This has never happened before until recently. I work at a school, too, and would hear that every day if it was a school zone alert. I will try driving with the navigation screen open, though, so I can see if something pops up there when it happens again.

Thanks for your response. I've had the Navigation screen open and the chime(s) occur randomly, it seems. Must be something else?

If its while driving its definitely the Ford NAV. I get that random dong dong now and then and i have everything turned off in it. Doesnt happen that often. If its while you get into the car, check the light switch it sometimes changes to on from auto, and then makes an additional chime over top the seat belt chime when you first get in. There is also a chime people get when opening the trunk from inside the car. Dont know what means either.

Usually for me this sound indicates a traffic alert for a predicted route in Ford nav. After the sound, if you go into Ford nav I think there is normally a box towards the right side of the screen that shows traffic ahead with a time delay.

Same here. I tried it on my drive home. Nav open and on a state highway in normal traffic with nothing unusual nearby. It chimed once with the two-note chime. Nothing the rest of the way home, and nothing on the Nav screen.

We have a mystery.

If that's what it is, why would I get 7-8 consecutive two-note chimes and nothing on the Nav screen?

I haven't been able to turn it off for most of 2023.

First the Connected Services list wouldn't expand. Then I couldn't find it in that list anymore so I'd disable it via one of the navigation app settings, which unfortunately turns off some other options at the same time... But after a key off, key on, it turns itself back on.

Nowadays I once again can't open the Connected Services list but I guess most of us at 6.1.0 are in that boat.

I suggest watching the navigation screen (as a passenger). There are a slew of alerts, most of which you can turn off. They appear, and then disappear quickly. School Zone, Hill, Curves, etc.

The predictive speed alert isn't alerting unless it's a very low speed, as the message states.
