I am wondering how much of an impact the chip hold for August to October 1st has had and if it is ongoing?

My Rapid Red Premium eAWD was scheduled to be built the week of 10/18/21. The only thing that updated was the WS. Folks from previous October build weeks are reporting the same behavior. Some have had modules updated but no indication of the build being completed. I am speculating that the chip hold continues and that Ford is not communicating that. Builds in October are not eligible for any compensation.

Are folks from September build weeks seeing similar behavior?

Contacting Ford and our dealerships is useless.

I am thinking that Ford has a shit load of MMEs parked all over their manufacturing site or they grabbed the production line for our MMEs to send cars overseas.

My build started on 8/30 and completed on 10/7. Not sure if this is the current delay, but it's a data point for you.

I called ford and confirmed mine was on chip hold. I was told my car had an ETA of 11/21 for a chip. My modules have been active since the week of 10/4 which was also my production week. I ordered premium AWD extended range. The shipping from Mexico to one of my local dealers was 26 days. I am hoping mine is similar so I see it this year.

Production delay is better than chip hold.

The poor chip hold cars got passed (and cars delivered) by the cars that were just delayed.
