I use 1 pedal driving and over the last week or so I have noticed a slight clicking sound when pressing and letting off the accelerator. It's sort of like the clicking sound of a turn signal but quieter. I tried 2 pedal driving and the sound was still present but softer. If I had to guess the sound is coming from the rear passenger side. Any ideas what this could be?

Yep!

Had the same on Stangy - first on one side and then on other side at the rear.

I’ve also heard of other people experiencing same thing.

My dealer changed wheel bearings on mine which cured it and others reported having driveshafts and other major parts swapped which cured theirs.

Got me to thinking it my not actually be one of these main parts which are failing but something not is seating quite right, a wheel bearing hub washer was one suggestion, and
changing any or all these parts just disturbed and re-seated that part which is what actually cured the issue not the renewal of any of these parts.

Therefore, the first thing I’d now do knowing what I now know is slacken the rear centre hub nuts a few threads, give the end of the drive shaft just a slightly heavier than light tap with a fairly heavy copper/hyde mallet, re-torque the nuts and see if that resolves this clicking.

If it works then it saves the pain, time & inconvenience of booking in at dealer initially for diagnosis then again for the work if under warranty, if not under warranty then it saves all this plus the cost of what may potentially be a mis-diagnosis and the potentially unnecessary work which would follow.

If it don’t do the trick you lost 20 minutes of your time🤷🏼‍♂️

If you try this, pls report back, it’d be really interesting to know.

Thanks for all the info. I will give this a try once I get the socket that fits the hub nut.

I have a bit of a harder "thunk" from the front when transitioning from reverse to drive, especially when accelerating quickly. My guess is the motor mounts aren't screwed in or seated all the way.

Shouldn’t that be easy enough to check with the frunk liner taken out the way? just a thought as it would save the bother of getting up on a hoist and taking off the undertrays.

Perhaps. And I'm not opposed to getting my hands dirty - I've modded the sh!t out of a couple cars in the past - but this is a lease and I have a toddler. Doesn't bother me enough to bother with it. I guess I'm not too surprised about OPs observation as my own has me rethinking Ford manufacturing quality.

The "clunk" from my rear end is getting worse and worse. At this point, it happens every time I press or release the accelerator. Initially, it only occurred when temperatures were below 30°F, but now it does it consistently regardless of the temp.

When I brought the car in for service and mentioned the noise, the technician made it pretty clear he had little interest in tracking it down. I'm paraphrasing, but his response essentially boiled down to, "It would take a lot of time and effort." He also said it was probably nothing serious and that I shouldn't let it bother me.

F**k it, then, if it’s a lease car, unless you’re not on a maintenance lease.

With ownership comes risk, if the risk of ownership in terms of maintenance belongs to lease company then it’s their job 😁

FFS 🙄

How does he know it’s probably nothing to worry about if he don’t know what the cause is due to his abject laziness!

US dealerships seem piss-poor from what you all report over the pond.

I had a pretty bad clunk that I was sure was a driveshaft problem. The dealer said it was a combination of a loose axle bolt and sticky brake pads. They tightened the bolt (not sure which one or if they actually meant the axel nut) and quoted me an ungodly price for new brakes. I did a few hard stops in neutral to clean up the pads and my car has been driving fine.
