Climate feature in FordPass slow lately?

I frequently use the Climate button in FordPass to warm up my car in the winter (or cool it down in the summer) before I get in.

Lately - maybe over the last week or so - the climate button turns into a spinning progress wheel for 20 - 40 seconds before the climate will turn on. The phone has to remain unlocked and powered on for the request to finish, so it's a bit annoying.

Anybody else seeing this?

Yes. I've only had my car a month, but this has been my experience throughout. Good to know it's not always been this way, hopefully it's fixed.

Mine seems to vary day to day. Sometimes it'll start within 5 seconds and other times, like this morning, it takes a good 10-15 seconds. I imagine it all has to do with how strong of a service connection both the phone and the car have at any given time/place. Please, someone feel free to correct me if I'm off base.

If I refresh (pull down) right beforehand, and the timestamp gets stamped, the climate start command seems to get a brisk response.

The current version let's you set the temp, heated seats and heated steering wheel. Once you click the fan button and it's active the control box shows up beneath the fan button.

I rarely use the climate button except when I suddenly need to go somewhere. I usually set the Departure Time in the charge settings which also preconditions the battery adding to the range and setting the cabin temp . I find that works well.

I have found that locking or unlocking the doors from the app and then issuing the climate request almost always results in a quick climate response.

I've had the same issue over the past few months. It tends to be a quick start if I'm home and (relatively) near the car. But if I'm away from the car, the app can spin for 20+ seconds. Timeouts can also happen, only to discover that the car started the first time. I'll try the refresh and lock/unlock suggestions from above.

Weird. How up to date is the car itself? I'd bet there's an OTA that gives the functionality.

It’s a 2024 premium AWD, hasn’t received a single update.
