Clock discrepancy?

Anyone experiencing a discrepancy between the vehicle clock with an iPhone? Ours is sometimes off by 10 minutes, 12 hours and 10 minutes, and sometimes it’s correct.

I am guessing you have the auto time setting turned on and there is an at&t cell phone tower or two near where you drive that have an incorrect time.

I know the aftermarket radio I have in my truck will auto set the time based on a signal it gets from radio stations. Any time I tune to a particular local station the time gets changed to four hours in the past.

I recall some people in the past having issues with the clock in the MME. Try turning off auto time updates, closing Settings, then going back in and turning it back on. ?‍?

Sorry, I didn't realize it was an iPhone discussion. I have an Android. When I pressed the calming screen button it showed the wrong date.

Hi neighbor! About a month ago, my clock was way off. That was the only time I’ve seen it happen in nearly 4 years. I just manually reset it and it’s been fine since. Maybe something with Cbus cell towers?

I recently had an issue with the clock time messed up. It was way off... Somehow Automatic Time Update was turned off. Maybe it was always off, don't know. Anyway, I turned this to "On" and the clock instantly updated to correct time.

You think a cell tower has something to do with it? I'm 99% sure the Ford autos gets their time from GPS and I thought most phones did as well. If we know different I'm OK learning, just thought they came from the GPS signals. I know that in auto's they've only become smart about Daylight savings time in recent years, you used to have to go in twice a year and tell it when you changed.

I assumed it was using a time signal from the radio or cell phone towers from my experience with an aftermarket radio that always adjusts its time to an incorrect time when tuned to one specific radio station.

Ditto. I had this problem during a recent trip in my Lightning. After resetting the time once all has been fine.

Yeah, I fell for this twice. Both times, an OTA turned off automatic clock sync. It might have been a few weeks, but I was using CarPlay nav and the clock in the upper right didn't make sense. Now I have to check that (along with motion sensors, radio setting, etc.)

Funny thing: my wife's Kia EV6 has DST tied to each profile. I rarely drive it, but the clock was a full hour off for me a few weeks ago, until I found the setting. Still, not as bad as our old RAV4 which had two different clocks (not counting CarPlay).
