New member, i was a ford senior master tech before leaving the field in 2021. Had ongoing issue with camera faults. 2 trips back to selling dealer, one reprogram then a camera replacement. Still getting faults so I then went back to the dealer where i worked for further investigation. Tech replaced coax cable, camera, and a handful of oustanding recalls. After that I wasnt getting a fault, but lane keeping sucked and it wouldn't engage co-pilot with the blue circle around the IPC car avatar. Another trip back for recalibration, still exact thing happening. so being a former tech (i still have my laptop with IDS and FDRS, but expired licenses) i grabbed a cable off amazon and downloaded Forscan on recomendations i found here. Got into the recalibration for the front lane keep camera, first thing i notice is it asked me if the ride height was accurate- measured from ground to wheel arch-, current value was 29mm... 29mm is like 2 inches so right off the bat i knew i had an issue. My car is lowered, but not by 99% and the real wheel arch height was 28.25 - 28.5 inches. so i assume the tech rounded up to 29 without realizing he need to convert to MM and get like 728/730mm. As soon as the calibration was done with the right ride hiehgt everyhting has been working perfectly. so anyway thanks mach e forum and let me know if there is anything i should do with my 2-month extended forscan license haha. I also have a 21 expedition so might see whats adjustable in forscan there too.
