Completed Powertrain Control Module Recall at home

For anyone putting off this recall, I was able to get a Ford Mobile Service appointment and they came out and completed the recall right in my driveway. It was very easy and no cost as expected. The whole thing took 30 minutes start to finish. Figured I’d share for any curious minds.

We also have a brand new 24. Understands that there will be updates available fir models earlier than 2025 "in 3rd quarter"...

In the past the answer has been not until you get a dealership to clear the recall.

Does this mean a fix is coming soon for 2022-2024 models?—asks the girl who is very impatiently awaiting the stop sale lift so that she can bring home her new 2024 from the dealership where it’s been on hold since late July?

Wish I had information for you, but I’m not sure. I’ve had this recall available on my 2025 since early/mid July I think, I just finally got around to it.

I had my '21 MME at the dealer on 7/29/25 (I finally bought a new battery for it) and they indicated on my service order that they completed MT25S65B. Do you mean that they didn't really do that?

I don't know what your dealer did, I can only tell you that officially the recall is not available for anything other than model year 2025. Check the official ford account reply a few posts back.

Check in your FordPass app under service and Active Recalls. Or go to https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls to check recall status.


My MY 2024 in FordPass shows "Recall service is not available right now" Recall incomplete.
