I'll suggest a better way ford can fix things like this. Just give everyone the latest updates on demand like the rest of the tech world operates. No more scattered waiting and hoping for updates.

Has anyone had their issue resolved? I’m still waiting and my PaaK can’t be setup.

You should be able to set up PAAK with the temporary fixes.

The send remote start via app demo fix? That won't work without the app being able to connect to my car, which is failing. Pulling the fuse didnt help. My dealership doesn't have answers yet and has an open case with ford, and I'm told this is a known issue. My car feels like a rental these days since it was factory reset and all personalization was lost, and im back to carrying a fob.

When I reset connected services, I had to redo my PAAK as well.

It took a couple tries.

Had to delete my car in the FordPass app twice for it to work.

The “fix” for me getting connected services for longer was disconnecting the negative battery for 10 minutes.

Setting up PaaK tells me my modem is activated and I need to do a master reset of the car or request access. It will request access from my wife's account, which still fails, as ford pass tells me I need to enable connectivity in my vehicle. I've performed a master reset, which fails to notify Ford/Fordpass that the car has been reset, so PaaK setup hangs. I'm stuck and annoyed.

Did you call Ford customer service? They can walk to through the exact order of steps.

Unfortunately, it’s not very intuitive.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

I did this; they confirmed there was something wrong with the TCU communication (that was kind of cool), and to schedule to take it to the dealer service center.

Back to them for a third time I guess

Unfortunately the service shop may not be able to fix if it’s an ongoing software issue.

Just got my car back from the shop today. They did all 3 recalls and updated all available updates (tech showed me last week a list of about 15 modules he did).

I get in the car and………..no connected services.

I drive back and show the tech, he plugs his laptop back in and shows no available updates.

I’ll drive for a couple weeks to see if connectivity shows back up and/or I get any OTA updates. My in car update still shows the last one I got Aug 7, but not sure if that changes when they force updates at the dealership.

Any progress on your issue? If your connectivity never returned then perhaps they need to replace the TCU (modem)?

Apparently my issue is due to my software version and it’s a back end (Ford servers) issue. Rare but not entirely unique and they’re working on it.

Interesting. If they can't fix the back-end issue quickly, I wonder if they could fix it by having a dealer update the software of your TCU? (And / or whichever module software is causing the issue.) ?

Dealer did every update. Because it’s a a back end issue, the “fix” doesn’t show up for the dealer either.

This is the explanation I got-

“You have a "-LKB" revision of the gateway module software. That, I believe, is what's keeping further updates from becoming available for your car. I'm pretty confident that is what's keeping you from getting further updates. Updates for the gateway (GWM) went from the -LKB that you have to -LKC, and then to PAE. And in between GWM updates other software updates were made available for Sync and the TCU and things like the IPC, etc.”

Maybe I'm missing something but that doesn't make sense to me? If they did every update, then why didn't they update the gateway module from -LKB to -LKC or PAE?
