- 2022 MME Premium RWD SR
I think the select is a fine EV but for me only downside is not available with extended battery so less range. That is why I went with the California Route 1 model for the additional range. I saw a Select a couple of weeks ago and loved the optional wheels, I'm bummed that I can't get them on mine as an option. As for RWD I'm going AWD because I know I would be disappointed if I didn't do it.
Also I'm going with California because Ford has upped their game for 22 MY. 21 MY California had no heated seats , heated steering wheel or optional AWD, for 22 MY California has all this standard. The California model is also $2500 less than the premium and the only thing missing is 3 extra speakers for the radio and no waving your foot to open the lift gate. Neither of these means anything to me so in my opinion the California Route 1 is the best deal going on the Mach E!
*Correction, California Route 1 AWD is optional but even with that it's $2500 less than a Premium model.*
Older thread, but catching up...I was curious and just configued a CA Rt1 vs. Premium (my order) to see if I should have gone Rt 1 instead (Premium is $2325 more expensive than Rt1 as well w/ the extended range battery which is required on the Rt 1):
Other differences I see from the order website:
CA Rt1
ACTIVEX™ SEATING MATERIAL BLACK ONYX (not sure if the passenger gets power/heated seats)
18" HIGH GLOSS BLACK-PAINTED ALUMINUM WHEEL WITH LOW GLOSS BLACK AERO COVER
UNIQUE CALIFORNIA ROUTE 1 BADGING
BLACK PAINTED DOOR CLADDING & BLACK PAINTED WHEEL LIP MOLDING
Premium
PERFORATED ACTIVEX™ SEATING MATERIAL BLACK ONYX
19" MACHINED-FACE ALUMINUM WHEEL WITH HIGH GLOSS BLACK-PAINTED POCKETS
POWER LIFTGATE
LED PROJECTOR HEADLAMPS WITH SIGNATURE LIGHTING
B&O 10-SPEAKER SOUND SYSTEM
AMBIENT LIGHTING – MULTI-COLOR
If you don't need the extra range (I didn't), it's required on the Rt1 so that's an extra $6k on the Premium (but overall, $3675 more on the R1 vs. Standard Range Premium).
