Im sure this has been brought up plenty of times but im just going to give my personal story with my car hoping to get some insight. I bought a CPO 2021 MME GT with 7k miles mid july. The day after I bought it, I got the High Voltage battery warning, powertrain malfunction warning and got put in reduced power mode... while I was on a 600 mile road trip. After talking to the dealer I could still drive the car and was able to finish the trip, and charge fine. Took it to the dealer and after a software update and recall it was gone. A week went past and the same warnings came back but wasnt actually put in a reduced power mode even though it said I was. It randomly went away after a few days and I didnt have any issues for a little over a month. Then my front camera started acting up and I was getting the front camera fault, precollision system not available warning randomly. Sometime they would come on for a few minutes, sometimes my whole drive and when I got back in car it was gone. After about 2 weeks of that off and on, they finally came on and did not go away. After a week I contacted ford on here and opened a case. After about 2 weeks of going back and forth trying to reach someone guess what came back. The high voltage battery warning and the powertrain malfunction warning but this time I was actually put in a reduced power mode. I took it straight to the dealer because those warnings along with the front camera faults I didnt really feel that safe driving the car. They said we have to order some parts but they said my car was ok to drive in the meantime and once the parts come in to bring the car in and they will have it a week or so. Had the car for 1 week only driving it a few times since I was going on vacation. I was still able to charge the car and even used a fast charger on the road once with no problems. Then I had my first issue with Stop safely now. The car had sat all day charging. I unplugged it and got in like I always do and pulled away. Maybe 1/4 mile from the house i got the stop safely now alert with the warning stating that the battery was running at too high of a temp and it locked me in park. I immediately googled some stuff and was able to find that some people had success just letting the car sit for 10 minutes or so and was able to get back in and drive. It worked and I was able to drive the car straigh back home. It was sunday night so I couldnt get it to the dealer but was planning to take it first thing in the morning. I call the dealer in the morning and explain what happened and that I would bring it in asap. Get in the car make it to the exact same spot as the previous night when I get the same stop safely now alert and locks me in park. The car wasnt charging prior to getting in this time so idk why it was running hot. After waiting 4 hours for a tow I was able to drive it onto the flatbed and go to the dealer. Luckily they had a courtesy vehicle for me. Friday comes and I dont hear anything so I call to get an update and they said they were still waiting on a few of the parts but when I asked what the issue was and what parts were needed no one there could tell me anything which was frustrating. Then over a week later I still didnt hear anything so I called again yesterday. It has been 3 weeks since taking it there and two weeks since towing it there. They said they tried fixing the car but nothing worked and the foreman is working directly with ford to try and figure out the problem.

So case in point... Im know im not the first person with these issues and what my dealership is describing as potentially an unfixable issue. Has anyone had something similar to this happen and actually got the car fixed or am I SOL. What can I really do about it. I already have a case open and the dealer is already working with ford.

What I believe the problem is, and of course I could be wrong, is a bad HVBJB. Sounds a bit like it is also affecting your LVB which is effecting your electrical system. What I also suspect, and someone may be able to look this up, is that your car had this issue before it went back to dealer as a used car and the dealer just cleared the error codes. Once again I have no way of knowing this is accurate but based on your description it is what I suspect.

There is a very long, detailed thread here on what is becoming a large amount of owners experiencing the Front Camera Fault. I recommend to follow that thread for what folks have experienced with that error. I would also highly recommend reporting the Front Camera Fault as a safety problem to NTSA; it is very easy and just takes a few minutes.

There is no good news in looking ahead. Most of the issues that the vehicles are experiencing have become unfixable. The worst is when they begin to compound like you are experiencing and the car becomes simply undriveable.

Bad news in your situation is the car was purchased used and that will limit your ability to pursue a lemon law filing.

I have experienced many similar issues as you and Ford has agreed to re-purchase my vehicle, which is a process all its own.

You will need to stay on top and pressure both the dealership and Ford to do the right thing.

good luck.

HVBJB issue. Has all the indications. Your dealer has just been lazy or is uneducated; sounds like they have just been giving you the runaround. Until they replace the HVBJB they have not addressed the root cause.

Update. They found water in the battery compartment and they are swapping out the high voltage battery. Said the HVBJB isnt the problem.

First off - Sorry you are having these problems ONE DAY after picking up the car. That is ridiculous, and totally unacceptable.

I hope you get a new battery and tray, and they close/seal it properly.
