Just back from first long trip in the MME and I have a question. I used Bluecruise extensively on the trip. There are many curves climbing through mountains between CA and OR, all carefully banked, wide curves that require little, if any, slowdown in most driving conditions. When BC (or ACC) is on the car slows 10 - 15 MPH through each curve. The slowing forced drivers behind to pass me followed by me passing them as the speed returned to the set speed. I ended up driving manually through the mountains to avoid the constant leapfrog. I like BC (my first time using) but regard this as a major flaw.
Question: Is there any way to control how much the vehicle slows for curves using either BC or ACC?

You can turn it off, but you can’t adjust it for curves, only speed limit signs. Look for “Predictive Speed Assist” in your driver assistance settings.

That is what I thought, but had to ask. Thank you

You can just override it with your foot on the pedal without having to disconnect it. I’ve found that works pretty good until it’s just curve after curve like going up or down a mountain. Then I just cancel it and then resume when I’m in the flats.

I’ve had the same issue but sometimes when there isn’t even gnats curve. I don’t like the “just turn it off” suggestion. These are technologies meant to be used. I’ve also tried to override with the accelerator and the car literally fights me.

BlueCruise also tried to kill me and my family on a perfectly straight stretch of highway but Ford “can’t replicate the issue” so they have offered no fix. Meanwhile my family now refuses to ride in the car unless I turn off any driver assistance.

Never had the vehicle fight adding accelerator pressure.

On a straight stretch of interstate, the car acted like it was avoiding a hazard where none existed by swerving into a neighboring lane. There was another car present in that lane. The only thing that stopped us from running into them at 65mph was that my hand was on the wheel.

Predictive speed assist sucks. Yes, it slows down way too much. It thinks you’re a semi.

In my opinion blue cruise is worthless and can be dangerous. I have had it turn off without warning when the car was in a curve pointed toward a wall next to the road.
