Stress crack? Are you still in your warranty period?
Stress due to what? It is not load bearing. Stress from the chassis?Stress crack? Are you still in your warranty period?
Mine cracked due to stress. Sitting out in the sun in Texas 113 degree heat. There can be residual stresses due to assembly irregularities. My car was only 4 months old. Ford asked the dealer to send pictures. In the end, it was covered by warranty. I think glass warranty is only a year.Stress due to what? It is not load bearing. Stress from the chassis?
Not sure about warranty. Been over 3 years and 30000 miles...
Amen! Glad I could get a hard top on my 22GT.I wish they would have optioned the glass roof as optional for any trim. I hardly notice it’s there, yet it’s this huge risk and repair cost.
Odd, my car sits out in the Southern Texas sun and it has for 2 1/2 years and it has not cracked.Mine cracked due to stress. Sitting out in the sun in Texas 113 degree heat. If I were you, I’d turn it into my insurance.
The theory is that mine was installed in an overly stressed condition. The heat exacerbated the problem.Odd, my car sits out in the Southern Texas sun and it has for 2 1/2 years and it has not cracked.
