Custom license plate ideas

In Illinois (after January 1, 2020) you're forced to buy an Electric Car license plate that is $100 more than regular plates (BEV's don't pay motor fuel taxes) and you can't get personalized or vanity plates. Bummer.

I wrote my state representative, Mr. Ozinga, about changing the law back to where you are allowed to order vanity EL license plates and here is his answer:

I've sorted through my list of license plate ideas and picked my two favorites. Sorry, but I'm not sharing them yet.

Here's the beautiful electric license plate in Illinois. They only allow random number plates. There is legislature that will be voted on this summer that could change the law so we could have vanity and personalized plates. Here's hoping! The second plate (personalized plate) is on my Ford Fusion (DC 73 = "Dental Corps 1973" which was the year I entered active duty) and I want to transfer that plate back to the Mach E. PS - My 2002 Thunderbird had a Route 66 vanity plate that read "BYRD".
