Dash Cam Battery where?

For those of you who have installed a dash cam battery in your Mach E, where did you mount it? Im looking for ideas on where and how if its an odd spot you mounted the battery? If you have pics even better!

I have a FitCamX so its not an issue (i also don’t have the option to record while parked), but I’ve seen a write up in the forum here where the batteries were installed under the front passenger seat.

i honestly just use a large battery pack meant for cell phones, leave it in the glove compartment, $20 solution

i switch from USB power to battery only when i need to (parking on the street in an unknown area), take the battery home to charge when it's low (i actually have two in there)...

i'm sure it depends on how much video activity / how big your battery is, mine lasts around ~48 hours parked in a public garage where the camera turns on every time a car drives past. these power banks are notorious for having fake mah ratings on them so it's not obvious how much i'm actually working with... but they're like $10-30 each haha

i think it's possible to actually daisy chain these too and even charge the daisy chain while you're driving but i didn't bother with all of that as it wasn't necessary for my purposes, i'm mostly parked at home anyway

Dongar makes an adapter that connects to the mirror/camera harness beneath the plastic cover between the mirror and the windshield. You can also purchase a small 5v USB power supply from Amazon and use the pins to tap those same harness connections, since Dongar typically doesn't have the adapter in stock for our cars. I used the Dongar adapter to supply my camera, and for my Uniden R8, I purchased the power plug that has the pins that connected where the Dongar adapter connected. Photo attached of the setup in my car, and also the Uniden power cable, and an example of the USB 5v power supply that can be used.
