I know there was a level of sarcasm in your comment but honestly, that's what normally doesn't work ?. Just being honest about the situation and balanced in your assessment of it is normally the better approach. Personally, I love it when I'm approached with constructive criticism, but when someone is irate and demanding I shutdown and just blow them a kiss (which makes them storm off even more upset).

No disrespect intended. I think it’s great. I would never have expected them to offer a cash appeasement, but hey, bonus! I sometimes get accused by someone I know that I don’t complain enough when things don’t go right.
