DCFC Red ring on 1 week old Mach e

I tried several DCFC and they all have charger fault when I try. and red rings after a few seconds. lvl 2/1 works and DCFC worked last week. I only have 1000 km on my new Mach e premium. I was leap frog preconditioning to the station.

I did change my credit card on blue oval network last night and have since fully removed blue oval subscription to see if that works. Vehicle says see service soon...

Any typical culprit? Any quick fix like disconnected 12v?

Take it to your dealer. Could be a variety of things.

so I let the car do the 30minutes unplug rest thing and now it works. maybe the initial DCFC triggered something. either way I'd like to pull the codes .

Regarding the Blue Oval/Credit Card change—while the timing is suspicious, the fact that your vehicle is throwing a "Service Soon" message usually points to a hardware or software handshake issue on the car's side, rather than a billing authorization reject. Usually, if it's just billing, the charger denies the session, but the car doesn't throw a service light.

Living in South Louisiana I’ve had a few lightning storms come through. Twice, I’ve had the dreaded orange ring? Might have been red but either way, it was flashing and it was not charging. Both times got the warning on dash but both times all was ok at next plug in. I’m assuming surges trip the fault and protects the system.
