Dealer Double Honk Disable?

I know the hideous double honk that results from stepping out of running car with fob or having frunk open, etc. can be disabled with Forscan. Is this something a dealer can do readily? Without costing me too much? (if anyone has had a dealer do, please let me know what it cost)

My dealer is terrified of anything remotely resembling something unofficial. They won't even mark my recall done in OASIS despite their own FDRS lookup showing it completd (by me). I'll be surprised if you find any dealer willing to touch Forscan.

“Mislock Chirp” is a setting, I believe in Vehicle->Locks. I turned that off and I haven’t had an annoying double honk since, for any reason

Interesting. I disabled the double honk years go using FORScan. I'd always wondered what the "Mislock Chirp" actually was, but I can't recall if I had it on or off before I disabled the double honk.

It’s different than the “you left the car on and took your key” double honk.

A mislock is when a door is not al the way closed or similar.

I agree those are two different things, but, unless I changed something else that I’ve forgotten about, turning off “Mislock Chirp” also turns off the other, because I often step out of the vehicle momentarily when it’s on and it no longer honks at me.

ETA: Well, shoot, I lied. Just tried it and it honked at me. I guess I’ve been more diligent about turning it off when I go back in the house to get my sunglasses or something.

What's the deal with the double honk when the frunk is open? That happened to me the first time the other day. The car was off, and I had the tailgate and frunk open. I walked about 15 feet away, and it honked. I don't know why. I have a 2025, so it doesn't do the double honk when you get out of the car with the key while it's running.

After the FordPass app was (recently) updated, my car no longer does the double honk when I exit with the key/phone inside the car.

It double honks when the car is on and the key is NOT in the car.
