Trunk causing double honk sound?

Hi,
Many times I put a gym bag in the trunk (always the same one) the horn always sounds like an impediment and the trunk doesn't close. sometimes it sounds, sometimes it doesn't. The bag is neither tall nor bulky.
Any suggestions?

Put it in the middle. Make sure the handles aren't sticking up. Make sure nothing is near any edge.

I’m confused by your description. The thread title says Frunk, but the description text says Trunk? Need a more detailed description of the scenario.

The only time I’ve gotten a double honk is when I’ve left the car turned on, running, (or left my phone as a key inside) and then closed the driver side door.
