Are you range conscious? If so, Premium Extended Range RWD to get the maximum efficiency.

Personally, while I love the GT and PE styling, and would probably get one if I wasn't so range conscious, I want the most economical vehicle. And paying about $7-15k more for styling doesn't sit well with me.

I say this now... and may upgrade in the future, but the MME will be our only car for a handful of months while we wait for a Rivian or a Lightning, so I wish to maximize efficiency where possible.
Yeah, but the pony doesn’t light up.

It was super easy for me to justify the GT.

Benefits: Much better looking seats (IMO), and for a sportier car I like the Miko inserts..no sliding around. Love the copper accents. Wider wheels and tires make the car look much better. Sits lower, handles better, body colored wheel arches, absolutely love the front end compared to the premium. Power...absolutely incredible. Range is pretty good so far in my testing. On the '21 I was able to get bluecruise without PANO...that was a key factor for me.

All that for 6 grand over Premium...about at 10% increase. GT got better options rate (1.4), x-plan and options 1k cash back helped keep the payment about 140 more than equivalent premium. Residual is anticipated to be higher for the GT as well.
I'll have to cancel out your comments about the Options Rate + cash back because this offer varies month-to-month and location as well. Not everyone is eligible for the same promotions. Also, as these incentives change, it will either make the higher trims more or less justifiable.

See, then I read something like this and think "Yup, I want the GT"

Those are my thoughts exactly. Also, I imagine the wider tires offer some benefits for stability and safety.

I was 100% sold on the Premium. Then I found out the mustang symbol on the "grill" only lights up on the GT. I honestly don't really care about the 1 second faster GT 0-60 speed and I don't really like the grill on the GT. I personally like the flat look over that vinyl fake grill look. BUT...for a few grand more, you get the power (if you ever want it) and the mustang logo lights up ( I'm a sucker for shiny things). Is there anything else that really sets these two packages apart?
I'm sure if you get the premium, and wait a short amount of time, some aftermarket creative person will sell a modified front pony that lights up.

Well, I just test drive the premium after testing the GT last week. I'm very torn. Definitely leaning towards the GT now. I got on the highway and felt a lack of power in the 60-80mph range.

You can get aftermarket wheels and tires, cheaper, than paying the price difference between the Premium and either GT options - or even by a set from a GT or PE owner from the forum when they become available.
yeah, thats what I am saying to myself(since I can not afford the GT). GT is well worth it for those who can afford it(not for me though).
Bigger wider wheels,
Bigger wider tires,
Brimbo brakes,
Nicer interior,
More power,
and ofcourse the lighting pony(which I do not care)

My biggest gripe is the skinnier tires on non GT(225 tires on a 5000 pound vehicle) it does not aesthetically feel right.

Brembo* not brimbo, you bimbo :p

For those who will have this as their only EV, yes I get it, you want something that's fun to drive and feels comfortable all the time.

The little things don't bother me, like changing out wheels and tires. I'm actually getting 20x8.5 and new tires, that weigh 12 lbs less per corner, so for me, that's a huge win.

AND since we're leaning towards a Rivian, having quad-motor and 0-60 in 3 sec, I'll be able to have my fun in that, and smoke all the GTs out there. There's my justification :)

I made the decision to go with the GT (non-PE). Extra power when I wanted it was a factor, as were the wider tires and slightly tuned (standard) suspension, since I was buying a Mach-E specifically to get more of an engaging (no pun intended) driving experience. I also liked the GT's interior look, and in fact liked the front treatment more than that of the Premium. One additional thought in the back of my mind was that, given the Mustang branding, if I do end up buying (rather than Options-ing and returning) my Mach-E and later want to sell it, I expect a GT model to have more buyer appeal than a Premium.

Ultimately, I knew it was a splurge, but it was one I decided to treat myself to. Your decision (and resources) may vary. {Jonathan}

Personally, I went with the Premium extended eAWD. I make sure that between my partner and I we always have one AWD vehicle, and I did extended range for the obvious.

Part of me loved the aspect of going GT, but doing that calculation price wise, it made not very much sense to me. I LOVE the light up badge, I too wish I had it...but personally I can live with the other financial decision. I also wanted the gray interior; this was a HUGE plus for me.

I get the wanting the light up pony, but if that's the ONLY reason why, I definitely say listen to the non-teenage part of you that says go with the premium.

This is all my opinion of course; everyone's budget and what matters to them the most is completely different and valid.

Yeah, I just got back from testing the premium and felt a lack of power compared to the GT. I know me and my personality. I'd get the premium and know the GT exists and hate that I didn't get the most I could.

Yup. If you can afford to get the GT and don't...I suspect you're going to regret not doing it and have to keep talking yourself in circles justifying why you didn't get it.

Meanwhile, I suspect it's going to be hard finding a GT owner that regrets their decision over getting a lesser model...unless they're really strapped for cash.

I agree with you both!

I'm going from a 2.0 4 Cylinder Kia Stinger to the Mach E; so for me the speed and power overall was an exhilarating upgrade. The GT is gorgeous; I'm super jealous. Although, I'm in my 20s and working my butt off. I have the time to afford it one day I'm sure :)

We finally made a decision due to a GT Performance available today. After waiting 5 months on a Premium, still not here, typical, had to decide on a GT pe, fast, or lose it.
wellllll…….after my husband drove the GT pe there was no turning back! That car is awesome. So fast! The biggest drawback for me is not only the cost but the less miles per charge. Now I will have a charge stop on way to my sisters?Husband was so happy. Pick it up tomorrow. It was a long wait.
