Defaults for Profiles - Phones

Hi all,
We are new proud owners, and we love it!

• I set up 2 profiles for the wife, and I
  • We are both on Carpass with the same login
    • It recognizes each phone for "phone as a key" separately
  • It does not choose the correct phone or car play based on the driver
  • Can this be fixed?
• Since my wife drives as her primary vehicle, can I make her the default?
  • Sometimes when we are together, it doesn't know which phone or individual profile to select
• I've occasionally had to manually select the seat and screen profile settings because it wouldn't switch on its own

Are these all related issues, or can they be fixed?

you both need your own fordpass account for the car. Then login to your phone with your own profile

We both have our own separate FordPass accounts and logins, but experience the same issues as you. Seemed like it used to work as expected when we purchased the car (April 2021), but after several updates, got messed up. However with the 4.1.2 update, it’s now better, but still not perfect.

I had hoped, based on the profile, it would connect to the correct phone.

Even though it will auto-select my profile when I unlock the car, if will always try to connect my wife's phone first.

Are there Reps from Ford in this Forum to take back issues or recommendations?

Or is there a site on Ford.com?

I created a separate fordpass, and we'll if it's any better, but based on the replies it will be the same

Resurrecting this thread, has anyone founf a fix for this as its really annoying

We have 2 phones paired to the car, one an iphone and one android both carplay and AA enabled. Whatever I do the Mach E seems to just connect to whatever phone it likes in terms of AA or carplay.
I cannot find a 'default' or 'priority' setting in the menu to select my partners phone. In a 7 year old Ford Focus you have this functionality so seems bonkers its not in the Mach E.

The real pain is that when she gets in the Mach E and my phone is in the house the car still connects to mine not hers (50% of the time) and doesnt automatically reconnect to carplay to hers when she drives off and mine becomes out of range.

Pretty shit really.
