Today I came back to my car which had been parked in a grocery store parking lot. All the windows were open and I know they were closed when I went into the store. This is very disconcerting. Could Ford Pass have opened them without my knowledge? All I know is that earlier in the day I used FordPass to open the frunk. Then I put my phone in my shirt pocket and forgot about it. With the old, revered, sorely missed version of Ford Pass I needed to push the window button several times to get the car to open the windows. With the new "improved" (sic) version, does the app open them whenever it wants to? And if so, how do I prevent this? The last thing I want to find is that something was taken from my car when the app decided to open the windows without my knowledge.

You can roll down the windows with the key fob. Maybe you hit it just right in your pocket? You can also disable this feature in your settings.

Yes, with the new version the app can (and will) decide to open your windows regularly whenever it wants to, because we all know the app is sentient. The only way to prevent it is to sell the car.
Are you sure the car was in the same space you originally put it in? The new app likes to take little test drives when the owner can be expected to be gone for a bit. (like in a grocery store)
To be fair, you can;t blame the app as these cars are a lot of fun to drive...

Unless you opened the app, clicked the Bluetooth icon, then clicked rolled down windows, while in Bluetooth range it probably wasn’t the app.

All of which would have been easier to miss hit on the so called revered older version.

What button on the key fob opens the windows? My key fob only has Lock, Unlock, Open hatchback and Alarm/horn buttons. I never programmed the key fob to do anything other than factory settings.

With the new app, the controls are underneath the "Controls" button, instead of requiring a press-and-hold action. You said "earlier in the day" you used it to open your frunk. Is it possible that you opened the frunk, and then left the "Controls" screen open, and then pocket-pressed (modern version of the butt-dial) the windows button because that screen was still open when you put the phone in your pocket?

That is a possibility. Thank you for a helpful suggestion.

When I use the app to open the rear hatch all the windows open also. Hopefully someone from Ford will look into this
