Recently I have several times tried using the volume adjustment located on the right side of the steering wheel to adjust the cruise control speed, even though I know the speed control is on the left side. Reason: The speed icon is on the right side of the display. ?
Frustrating. Just that my mind, when not thinking (no comments as my wife has already) translates right-hand graphic with right-hand control.

Anyone else experience this? I think moving the speed graphic to the left side would prevent this. Very minor, I know.
I've been known to do that too. I never attributed it to the placement of the icon on the screen, but yeah, it could be that that's the reason. ??‍♂

It was an inhibit OTA (couldn't drive for ~17 minutes) I applied whilst at the local TacoBoys getting my refill on American food again. Was super pleased to get the speedo back.
Which update is it?

This is a big *SHRUG* for me. I don't want nor need the speedo centered and prefer the lane centering graphic to be front and center. It helps keep me from drifting left or right. And I drive exclusively in Engage mode and love the battery graphics. I even use the brake coach. So maybe I'm just different. Leave things as they are in my car, thanks.
tl;dr: This update does almost nothing for you or to you.

The update in question does two things:
1. Resolves the 1 mph while stopped rounding error. Some folks never had this error.
2. Restores the IPC to pre PowerUp 6.8 status, where the speedometer is showing centered and no car display with all ADAS options turned off.

Nothing in the update will change anything for you unless you turn off both Lane Centering and the distance following indicator. If you did that anyway after 6.8, you still had the car icon, but it showed you literally nothing.

I used to teach people how to fly. One of the most common early errors was in hand-eye coordination: the hand follows the eye. I can easily see this happening in the mme: Look right at the speed, go to adjust it, and suddenly you're blasting "We Built This City" by Starship to the entire world. Hang your head in the well-earned public shame.

This is also why dabbling with the main screen while not in ACC/BCHO can be a really bad thing. Your left hand (for us righties), is driving and follows the eyes. Now you're pushing the shoulder or laneline.

I will never admit to having personally made this error though – mostly because my memory isn't that long. ;)

Not to complain about a gift horse...but why is there no graphic for Engage, which I would guess is the most used drive mode? Whisper and Unbridled both have cool graphics!!

Because there used to be an animation for it, but that was fixed at some point.
The Engage animation was a pop up window that said. "Drive mode unavailable" No one seemed to like it though.

It would be interesting to see a poll of what mode is used the most.

I’m in unbridled always unless a glitch happens every now and then…

Is it possible Ford also fixed the Carplay issue that would result in no sound every now and then? I got the update a few days ago and haven't had this problem after several small trips. For the last year it's been a problem maybe every 5 trips (and not just me, I've seen it mentioned multiple times on various threads here).

Personally I don't want to turn off all the ADAS. Besides, I <gasp>don't care if the speed is on the right<gasp>.

You don't have to turn off all ADAS for centered speedo, just lane centering.

Robert’s like that. He can wave his magic OTA wand from afar and ?>Presto!< ?

Such a generous guy.?
LOL I think he got tired of everyone DMing him because her stupidly took at-sign "Ford" as his handle. ??

I don't care either. Maybe someone can chime in. Why is this such as big deal? Why have the offset speed digits caused so many owners to get upset? Do the IPC symbology changes make a car more reliable? Do the changes enhance vehicle performance? One more question, now that the IPC layout has changed, what are you going to get upset about next?

As pretty much everyone knows, I'm always in Unbridled. The suspension and steering are too soft even there. ??

I wouldn't call it a big deal. But many of us saw it as a weird step backward. We liked the appearance of the IPC with larger visual affects and we enjoyed having the speedometer front and center. Then they put a static image of a car there, which seemed strange, especially since it has no meaningful information. Maybe it would be different if they showed the brake lights brighten when regen is strong enough to activate them. Or anything else meaningful. But a static overhead view of the car was kind of useless.
