I have a 22 f150 pro SR with 72k and a 21 mach e premium with 52k. SOH on the lighting is 98.5 and 92 on the Mach. From reading the forums, this seems to be normal. Anyone else own both and notice the same?

92% on 56k is good the other seems too good to be true, I would believe it is not correctly calculated

Here is what CoPilot says on it (note I did check and the SOH is calculated the same way in both):

AI is just grasping at straws here. We shouldn’t be putting too much stock in what it says all the time.

The F-150 lightning batteries are made by a different manufacturer. It’s going to have different BMS software that calculates the state of health slightly differently.

So I would say it’s just differences in software. I would expect the rate of degradation to be similar. The primary effect will be calendar aging unless the vehicle is driven much more than average.

The Mach-E SoH is definitely pessimistic.

Yes I should have said that myself. I thought it but forgot to put it down.

BTW in another thread it was mentioned that they believed that the more important aspect would be the trend not the absolute value and I agree with that. There are just too many unknown variables to believe absolut values.

And I should have clarified something about the formula being used. That is the one being used by Ford is the same, but is says nothing about the values that go into that formula or how they are measured.

In August my Mach-E was at 96.5%, up from a low of 94.5%. 30,000 miles roughly. My Lightning is at 99.5% or 100% depending when I look.

I was going to ask AI about it, but since it gathers useless crap from the internet, I didn't.

I use AI a lot, but challenge answers, ask carefully so it doesn't just say what it thinks I want to hear. Also it does not ask me to clarify my questions as often as would be ideal. Another common problem, when it is in the midst of a discussion it often does not remember what I inputted or it answered three or four posts previously in the discussion. ChatGPT and Microsoft co-pilot are doing much better on citations than two years ago.

An example, I had some questions about Native American settlements in our area. To find the geological. hydrology, maps, and other information would have been days or weeks at libraries and courthouses. In about three hours I had really good information that could be fact checked. I am confident I could write a two-page summary which would be publishable. Note, I like my writing better than its. But always useful to input my version as it catches unneeded ambiguity and errors.
