The usage fee is the car price divided by 120,000 miles x mileage at first incident. example: $50,000 price and 12,000 miles... 50,000/120,000 X 12,000= $5000 usage fee. I requested reimbursement for my EV charger, charger installation, dog seat covers, and gas while using rentals. It took 6 weeks after I was approved for me to hand over the car and get my check.

Thanks, for the info. I got the initial email, but no actual formal offer yet. They did share the same use fee formula as you mentioned, but they are saying total milage and not milage at time of first incident. It appears they are only going to offer the buyback option or cash & keep settlement.

Ask for the moon! The worst thing they can say is no. Also ask for goodwill since your car has been in the shop for way over 30 days and all the inconveniences of having to drop off and pick your car multiple times.

@Ford Motor Company mine is also doing this. Door functions and operates properly but dealer is saying entire module needs to be replaced out of warranty (it just ended). Can you help? This alert just popped up after the last software update randomly.

I turned my Mach E in to the dealership yesterday and got my check. Opted for the fully buyback. Hopefully they will get paperwork wrapped up quickly on their end and pay the loan off (financed through Ford). I think Ford handled the buyback well and was more than fare to me on the settlement portion. My only slight criticism I had, was the "private offer". I feel that brand loyalty is worth more than the $1500 they offered. (4) of my last 5 cars over the last 25 years have been Ford products. It was actually up to $2500 off, but that was for an Excursion or Super Duty. Coming from a Mach E to 1 of those 2 doesn't make much sense.
