Hi I get this from Yesterday. this my Second issue with Ford Mache 2023 . Brought the car in 2022 Dec, Feb 2023, they changed my Module and now i get this in 8 months i am having issues with the car.? what a Car it is?

Dealer finally got the replacement latch in, took it in and waited like 2 days but now the car's back to being error free ?

I've had the rear hatch open a few times,but I think it was because the dog was headed in and may have tripped the kick panel, though it's not reliable if I kick it.

Following the 4.1.2 OTA update, my MME starts with a Door Fault message. I have reported this before, now that many more have received this I am wondering if anyone else gets this. Acknowledging the error clears it until the next time you start the car. Other than the Departure Time problem (that has gotten better in the last few days) my MME has been trouble free for 25k miles in two years. I had hoped this would clear itself with 4.1.3 but I got that yesterday and the Door Fault is still there.

I started get his this fault yesterday together with and Amber 'Auto Hold' fault and 'Transmission not in park message', none of these are true and the car still drives fine. Booked a local dealer but they don't sound confident.

i have the same error msg, went to the dealer and it said i need to replace the latch. does it cover in the warranty or extend warranty? Because my dealer said it didn't. @Ford Motor Company, Please help.

How is this not a recall yet? I just dropped our ‘21 off at the dealer. They called to say it’s the rear passenger door sensor. They will replace it tomorrow and the cost will be well over $500. Warranty expired 2 months ago. Car had exactly the same issue in December of 23 with the other rear door.

Hey @Ford Motor Company can anything be done here? This is obviously a recurring problem and I feel a bit short changed.

My car had this. But my passenger door would pop open randomly than wouldnt close again. It would take 30 attempts at closing the door for it to actually latch closed. Door latch needed to be replaced. Never happened again.

I've "enjoyed" this forum and seeing the problems folks have been having and here I am, over 4 years and still wondering when it's gonna be my turn. Well, that happened. I too got the door latch issue. Clearly the extended Ford Warranty I paid a small fortune for would cover this as my 2021 is well passed the original 3 year warranty. Nope, won't do it. My dealer guy tried twice. No deal. Gotta cough up over $800 bucks to have a door latch replaiced. Yikes!! The tech who repaired said it would take about 1.5 hours. Yep, 1.5 hours later it was fixed. Joy! No, I look at the dealer's invoice and I see $194.13 for the door latch and $560.17 for Labor. I don't doubt the tech was highly skilled and trained properly to work on this wonderful machine, but holy cow, his labor rate must be astronomical. What am I missing? He's driving a BMW, I'm driving a Ford.:frown:
