Update time!
Picked up my car Tuesday and all seems well so far, although I haven't left it out unplugged in the cold yet. ? I did just get off the phone with my dealership though, was not excited to see that number pop up on my phone... Ford sent out a technician to talk to them Wednesday, and sat in the office with the dealerships techs and the service manager. I guess they were in there for a few hours... long story short, they were advised to bring my car back in and install a new HVB junction box. The earliest I can bring my car back in is 2 weeks from now however so fingers crossed ? I don't have any issues between now and then. Tempted to leave my car at home, plugged and wrap it bubble wrap so nothing else can happen to it and steal my husband's edge to get to work and back... ?

The HVB junction box certainly makes sense. I have not seen a good electrical diagram of it, however it does seem to include the contactors (?) that could easily prevent the DC/DC converter coming on. Here is more on the HV junction box. If anyone finds a good schematic for it, that would be helpful. The HV Junction box is yet another component that can be damaged by improper jacking and lifting.

The high voltage battery also contains the high voltage battery junction box that transfers fused high voltage and current to the vehicle using high voltage relays known as contactors. The high voltage battery supplies energy to the high voltage components that control the climate control, high voltage battery cooling, and DCDC. The DCDC maintains the low voltage 12-volt battery.

This makes me wonder if when I brought the car in at the end of October for the 10k service if something like this happened that damaged it.

Probably not. That's exactly the part they changed on my car and I never brought it in for service before then. Seems like this is a known defective part in early production.

UPDATE!

We were surprised to get a call late yesterday saying the car was complete, so had to scramble to get a plane ticket to get to where it is. My partner is picking it up right now. He is going to stay with family close by and drive home tomorrow (7 hours) so it will be put to the test.

Replaced both parts mentioned prior, Battery Energy Control Module and High Voltage Fuse Box and happy to login this A.M and see No DTCs Present as being reported OTA. :)

I will update once I have the paperwork showing exactly what they did and the tech notes, and how the drive home went for him. Just in time since it has been 4 weeks, but they are covering 1 monthly payment for the hassle, along with paying for the rental of course.

Wishing everyone the best with their specific situation, we know how challenging and frustrating it is!

Can you login to PTS with an FDRS login? Or is it a separate subscription?

I work for a dealership so I have some limited access to the system. Almost like a service writer would but I am in sales.

Ah, that explains it.
Yes, its been helpful to get access to TSB's etc.

Also as a side note, this car has reported DTCs since delivery. Even after all updates something still shows up, so for it to show nothing at this time is a win for us!

There is probably no way to know for sure. If you use a heated garage, or when we get a nice day, you could look under from both sides. See if any of the aluminum rails with the holes are dented or bent, look for any other odd dents or bends. Probably nothing to see, but might be worth a quick look.

Just got my car back and the dealer wrote

BHAGM H3 BATTERY WAS REPLACED
LJ9Z 10C666 A CONNECTOR WAS REPLACED
LJ9Z 10B687 D CONTROL AND BATTERY - HIGH VOLTAGE

FORD INFORMED THE DEALER TO REPLACE MODULES BECM AND HVBJB.

The car seems to be fine. The dealer also told me that one of the hoses for the battery coolant was leaking so they replaced that too.

I forgot about the Sandy Munro HVB teardown. I don't know if there were later videos where he removed the HV junction block, but they say the white cylinders are the hv contactors, so there is one answer, replacing the HV junction block does replace all of the contactors.

LJ9Z 10C666 A looks like the entire hv junction block.

LJ9Z 10B687 D the computer module

Here we go once again. Now doesn’t turn on after a couple hours downtime. Back to the dealer I suppose.
