On the MME at least, you don't need to be in park. Full stop is all that's necessary. Most of the Fords I've owned in the past few years do this occasionally. I haven't been able to figure out the sequence that causes it. Yes it's sometimes annoying, but not a huge deal to hit the memory button quickly to correct it. The only problem is if you're already underway, you have to wait for a stop to put it in park and hit the memory seat button. It would be nice to know what's "causing it", but it's not been enough of an annoyance for me to spend much time playing around with different scenarios. I am guessing it's not random, and there's likely a sequence of events that cause it. If someone figures this out you can be a forum hero ?
