I have my car for 8 months now and I have the easy entry driver seat turned on. Lately, it only goes forward to the normal position about half the time. The other half it just stays back unless I hit the 1 seat button. It always goes back when I turn the car off, just hit or miss going forward. Seems to be getting worse too. Anybody else have this issue? I'm the only driver so that isn't the cause.

Much more occasionally than you, but I have noticed this too.

I've noticed this a few times when using remote start. Other than that, I've not seen it happen.

Are you remote starting? Maybe it's a profile bug related to that.

A few times in 6+ months. Less than half a dozen. Usually it also is accompanied by a profile hiccup as well, although the reverse is not necessarily true. I just use the door button to set my seat when it happens.

So could be a profile detection issue. Set your "default" profile with your seat preference. Since I changed that my seat works 95% of the time. The other 5% the seat moves up like 1/2 an inch then just stops, no idea why. When I look at my display it does show its detecting the correct profile.

I've noticed the same thing and have the same feeling that it happens more frequently now than before.

Wouldn't have been that much of an issue for me if I would have been able to push the 1 seat button upon driving away and realising that the seat is not in position, but since the car for some reason needs to come to a full stop for the seat buttons to work, it has become quite annoying.

When I got 1.7.1 it seemed to make this almost constant, to the point where I turned off the old man seat move because it was annoying me so much that it wasn't working.

I turned it off about three weeks ago, and it still messes with me because I mentally associated "the car is started" with "the seat moved to the right place" and that association isn't right now.

it occurs to me, just now, that this 100% justifies the existence of the Start button that some people were whining incessantly about on here 18 months ago or so. How else would the car know when to move the seat? when you shifted into gear? that would be insane. Maybe when the seat belt is buckled I guess? I don't know what other signal the car would have.

I guess people that don't have such a feature in their cars wouldn't understand it but once you have the feature you realize that, like the door keypad, it's 100% a killer feature that cars that cost 2x as much should be embarrassed that they don't have it.

Have any of you noticed if it has an issue more often if you are parked on a hill facing up? I have the same function in my GT350 and it would limit trip out (too much motor power required) almost all the time if I had my feet on the pedals since my driveway has a slope to it. If I kept my feet down and helped it a little it worked every time.

Yes, and in a flat garage. Not a hill issue.

It's really not that hard to tap the "1" button when I get in. So the occasional time when it doesn't do it doesn't bother me to tap that button. Sheesh.

I have occasionally experienced this where the driver's seat does not move to the position saved under preset 1 ..... but I haven't been able to correlated this error to any other errors.

It happens rarely normally, but every time with remote start. This bug was not fixed in 1.7.1 or the later software the newer cars are coming with.

When remote starting the user profile goes to a guest profile which screws everything up. Hitting my memory button immediately solves it and it has become second nature to do after getting in the car post remote start.

My car does this probably 50% of the time. My FE did it also. I haven't figured out any pattern with mine on if it works or not.

I hardly use remote start, so it happens just using PAAK or the FOB in a normal, get in start the car scenario.

Most of the Fords I've owned in the past few years do this occasionally. I haven't been able to figure out the sequence that causes it. Yes it's sometimes annoying, but not a huge deal to hit the memory button quickly to correct it. The only problem is if you're already underway, you have to wait for a stop to put it in park and hit the memory seat button. It would be nice to know what's "causing it", but it's not been enough of an annoyance for me to spend much time playing around with different scenarios. I am guessing it's not random, and there's likely a sequence of events that cause it. If someone figures this out you can be a forum hero ?

You don't actually have to go to park to get it to work, the car just has to be stopped.
