Engine start button missing in ford pass new version

Can I start the car and not turn on the fan? It seems to me to be a big waste of the battery.
If I wanted the fan how would it know what temperature I wanted and whether I wanted heat of the A/C?

I said that because the I tried that the other day and it turned on the heater to very warm just when the outdoor temp was approaching 80. How do I regulate what fan and climate setting I want?

Just leave it on Auto.

I never would have figured this out in a million years. I thought it was a bug to be missing the "Start" button now.
I appreciate they are starting to differentiate EVs in FordPass, and the previous "Engine started" confirmation message seemed out of place, but a fan icon does not (to me) seem intuitive.

I think it is just Ford nudging us off the ICE mindset. Good, I think. Not sure the fan symbol is the best and it would be VERY GOOD to include some basic settings like temperature, seats and steering heat.

You can set your comfortable set temp before you switch off the car. next time when You remorte start car will automatically set to that temp. Also from your app, you can set it cold, warm, or warmer when you do the pre-conditioning.

Yes. FP version 5.0.0. I believe it is only currently available for those whom signed up for the early testing program.
