Both I and my SO get this error in the app: "Vehicle failed to start. You must drive your vehicle after two remote start events." But then it ended up once working later. Any idea what that error means?

Does this happen anytime you remote start your car? It is normal to get this message if you start your car remotely more than a couple of times in a row.

Hi there! Can you send us a PM with your VIN and Ford dealership information? I’d be happy to look into this Mach-E FordPass concern on my end.

We only tried to do it yesterday (like 5 times in a row on my SO's phone, then a few failed times on mine). And then it did work hours later. So maybe it's a one-off?

You are only allowed 2 remote starts between drives. You have to physically get into the car and turn it on to reset that counter.

(FYI hitting the "extend" button counts as a second remote start"

Ah, gotcha. So if we maybe had tried it with spotty wifi/cell service, and it failed to connect, it may still have registered as multiple attempts, which then required us to start the car manually.

Ok, getting this almost every time I leave town and park my car at the airport. When I come back and try to remote start. Here's what I get.

Wow, your reply was so helpful. Nevermind, I figured it out. They've added an "allow start when vehicle is unplugged" switch under departure time. It must have been starting every morning at my set departure time.

You didn't mention that you weren't doing it multiple times yourself. Glad you figured it out.
