I live on the eastern edge of the great American charging desert. East into mn you can find charging, but west into the heart of my state of SD there is pretty much nothing right now. I would suspect the adaption of the Lightening will change that in the next couple of years.

many states will have LOTS of money for infrastructure as soon as the Infrastructure Bill passes. I know that here in NM, the Gov is setting aside quite a bit to help put charging stations in rural locations, probably at little Gas Stations, banks, or City Hall locations in as many small towns that ask for the money...

Oh yeah, I know this station, in Salina, KS at a Casey's, fairly far off the interstate. Unfortunate that it's basically necessary to stop there to get across the state.

I thought the same thing when I saw that photo. At least the pizza is good (for gas station pizza) - we picnicked under the tree (roughly where the photographer was standing in this picture) while the car was charging. The twins loved it.
