Agree what is ultimately going to determine the overall usefulness of the GT at highway speeds on long trips will be the charge curve, for the GTPE with its 235 predicated range that becomes even more important..You’re not going to get 200 miles at those speeds. Even if you got the 250 miles on a full charge, realistically you’re going to stop charging at 80% and not run it below 10%. So, 70% of full range is 175 miles. Less at 80 mph or at temps below 50F. If Ford updates the charging curve to soften the 80% cliff, allowing reasonable charging rates to 90%, then 200 becomes realistic in the right conditions.
Either there is a lot of potential for ford to make improvements to the charge curve and they have just been ultra conservative, if however what we have now is the best we are going to get with its ridiculous 80% cliff with a minimal time spent at 150kw/h peak. It is going negatively impact the GT long term compared to the competition as it needs to spend more time at charge stations. No point putting a GT badge on it if you can't do much Grand Touring.
