I bought a brand new 2023 MME GT and absolutely loved it. I drove it nonstop and after 9 days of driving before I even reached 1,000 miles, the wrench icon lit up with the notification to service the vehicle soon. The following day I took my car to the dealership where they told me that I had a faulty diverter valve and that they needed to place an order for the part.

Albeit annoying that the car ran into an issue so soon, I figured a quick fix under warranty wouldn’t be that big of a deal. However, it’s been two months and the part is still on back order!

That leads me to ask the community if anyone else experienced a similar problem and how long did it take for the problem to get resolved. I only drove the car for 9 days and at this point, I’m starting to wonder when I will actually get to drive the new car that I bought months ago.

Has anyone had a similar problem and what was the wait like to receive the part?

Yeah, the car has been in the shop this whole time. I'm not sure how I feel about a buyback, but it seems like it may be worth looking into.

You don't have to follow through with it... Sometimes just the mention of "buy back" or "lemon law" can make Ford parts magically appear.

Call the Battery Electric Vehicle Team (BEV)800-392-3673 or 866-631-3788 x79969. Yell them your story, politely ask about a Buy-Back and watch the magic happen.

Same issue here since April 11 at the dealer. Ar has 1900 km on the counter. Still waiting for the part. Search coolant problem in the forum and you'll se more people with the same issue and crazy parts lead time.

At least I have a 2021 mach e free lease from my dealer.

Mine's been in the shop for 57 days waiting on the part. Currently the ETA for the part is "The end of the month" which is conveniently what they told me all last month too. BEV team won't talk to me about it, insists my dealer is the only point of contact that can help me. Even asked the service team to contact me about my options for a buy-back and they can't even bother to do that.

Good luck!

I had a similar issue with a different part - about two months I think. The BEV team was of questionable value - I’m not sure if they really did anything other than to periodically check and see if my dealer got the part. They said they put the part order on ā€˜expediteā€ but it still took a while. They were able to tell me when some more of the parts were manufactured and being shipped but they never knew where they were going. i surmise that’s because they use some sort of third party to coordinate between factories and the parts department. It also seems that Ford is maintaining a huge parts inventory for the MME - more like just-in-time (or jus-a-lot-late) spares.
