Lately our MME has been charging to 100% our home Ford Charger even though I have the Paak set at 85%. I leave the car plugged in at night in our unheated garage because it has been so cold in Iowa. Last night when the car reached 83% I used the PaaK to stop charging. However, this morning when I got up and checked my phone, I discovered the car had charged during the night to 100%. The car has done this a few times the past week.

The car itself under settings shows the limit set at my home charger is 85%. Yet it’s acting like the car is plugged into a destination charger even though it’s on the home charger. It had been working fine but suddenly changed last week. My wife is concerned about damaging the battery because of the 100% charge and wants to leave it unplugged. Iā€˜m worried about the really cold temperatures so I feel it should be left plugged in even with our charging problems. Any help with this will be truly appreciated!

First, let's correct your understanding. PAAK has zero to do with your car charging. PAAK provides the ability to replace the FOB, and provides functionality like opening and closing the windows from your phone.

Why, if your charging was set to 85%, did you stop it at 83%?

FordPass is what you're referring to. Given that your car has had some issues, I would take the following steps:

1) Verify in FordPass that the settings for your Home location are correct.

2) Verify in Map on FordPass that it shows the vehicle at the Home location.

If so,

1) Delete the Home location.

2) Charge the car for a few minutes.

3) Stop charging, set the location as Home, and setup the times you want it to charge.

Make sure your FordPass Preferred Charge Times is set like this.

Sorry, I was using the wrong nomenclature but the settings for my Home location are correct. Also the Map on the Ford Pass shows the vehicle is at the Home location. Since it is now charged to 100%, I’ll drive it sometime today and then delete the Home location and then follow your additional steps.
Do you have any idea why the car would have been charging correctly two weeks ago and then began charging to 100% over the past week? To my knowledge nothing changed other than my wife began driving it to her work every day and new departure times were added to the Ford Pass? Thanks for your help!
