I think we'd like additional confirmation. With the car parked, when you enter the charger destination and activate it, do you hear a coolant pump start running or not? Usually it starts as soon as you hit go. It will be a humming noise coming from behind the dash that ramps up during the first second of operation and you might hear air bubbles in the first few seconds. Turn off your radio and HVAC if you can't hear it. When you end navigation, the coolant pump should immediately stop.

I posted this in the thread I started last night on this, but might also post it here for visibility:

There seem to be quite a lot of limits still within the Google Maps ecosystem related to battery state and what to do with it. For now, it will not replace ABRP, or even Ford's own route navigation.
- There is no way to create trips (involving charging awareness) beforehand in Google Maps. You can only do it once you're in the car
- Once Google auto-selects charging stops for you, it doesn't tell you what SOC you should charge to. It only tells you the time you will spend at the charger. The built-in navigation and ABRP tell you what SOC to charge to on each stop.
- It has a way to select NACS (Non-tesla), but that ignores all Tesla supercharger sites it seems. If you select Tesla in your compatible plug lists, it will list all Tesla superchargers, regardless of whether they're compatible or not with an adapter. So there's no reliable way to filter out only incompatible Tesla supercharger sites.
- There is no elegant way to select alternative charging stops yet. I see you can select an alternative stop once you begin navigation, but it's a bit clunky. I prefer Ford's navigation system for that.

Nothing for me, I thought I was updated to the latest, the last update I received was " ECG-24.2.5.6.2" In Canada, not on the early release program.

After 10.1.0 update, In google maps Mach-E battery information is showing and doing automatically charging stops and battery pre condition for charging stops.
Forget preconditioning! I want to ditch my dongle. I expect abrp will update, and all the other android auto apps (like plugshare), and we will be really stying!

You say the update is with '10.1'. Of what? My Google maps is 11.150, is this a car update or an android auto update or what???

I will be happy to determine if preconditioning is happening using carscanner and seeing if the battery heater is running, compare ford with Android in the same situation....

I checked. Precondition works.
That's awesome.

I think I got this update the day after the AA update.
I guess it's just a coincidence or not.

@Ford Motor Company
only public charging app doesn't have a precondition.

I tested it today. Clicking on a charging station in AA and navigating to it turns on precondition. That's great.
Does it work while navigating to Superchargers? If so, AA becomes the only way to precondition to a Supercharger since the nav database still hasn’t been updated yet.

Yes, it's working like magic.

Hopefully Google will add:
  1. ability to plan the trip on phone and web browser without being connected to the car, understanding the exact vehicle specifics (battery, charge rates)
  2. ability to filter out supercharger's that are not compatible with the NACS adapter.

I got this update yesterday. However, I still don't have EV planning options in Android Auto. Do I need to update a certain setting in my Mach E or Android Auto? I rented a Polestar 2 a few weeks ago on a work trip and really enjoyed having the EV planning options. So when I saw this post, I got really excited, but it's a no-go for me so far.
