Been using since my first EV, a Bolt EV bought back in 2020.
It's been fine, and 40A is enough. While the Mach-E will take 48A, it hasn't yet been worth it to me to switch to hard wiring just for that.
And a "dumb" charger is fine for me. The car is "smart" enough and FordPass works well enough for basic things.
If I ever have a car capable of taking 80A, well, then, that'll be worth the hard wiring trouble.
