I've made it a point to utilize my frunk. Even with all my charging stuff in there, I can still fit two folding chairs, extra bottle of wiper fluid and all my shopping bags and still have room left over. I don't need the potential, additional winter efficiency (range) from a heat pump so I'll stick with my 2022.

Yeah I have all my adapters, cleaning supplies, and water in there. It's a great space for that type of stuff.

Howdy, I understand that performance is reduced based on SOC, but what is the expected difference between a '22 and '25? I have a GT PE (23), and the 25 has the same HP, but has more torque with the new Ford designed motor, but I wouldn't expect a difference outside of the "5-sec" acceleration limitation on '21-'24 models. Is this what you are referring to? Thanks in advance for your time.
5 second limitation was removed on the 24 model year.

The difference between the older GT-PE and a 2024+ with the Performance Upgrade is pretty minor. I feel that the 2021-2023 hits more violently off the line. The 2024+ ramps itself up a little and pulls a little harder once the car starts to go. From 30-70 there doesn’t seem to be much difference in acceleration. From 80 and up it’s night and day. This is all based on uninstrumented seat of my fuzzy behind feeling. ?‍♂?
I agree, overall it may be a little faster 0-60 but after 72mph it is a world of difference.

I test drove a 24 with performance upgrade and I had a hard time keeping the tires from spinning off the line. It was annoying as hell.

But if you were 16 years-old again; it would be a lot more fun!!!

Huh. Back to back with exactly the same set of tires my 2021 was more violent off the line than my 2024. My 2024 pulls harder once the car starts rolling. They’re similar around the time jail bars appear, then once the jail bars start up the 2024 pulls a little harder. By the time the jail bars are in full effect, it’s absolutely night and day. ?‍♂?

My comparison is AWD premium with extended battery. Ford quotes 0-60 time of 4.2 sec for the new ones and I think it was 5.1 for mine. That should be a very noticeable difference but I really couldn't feel it yesterday.
My 2023 extended battery awd is rated at 4.2 seconds. I'm surprised that a 2022 takes longer.... Sounds to me that the 2025 [for same exact model] didn't change at least since the 2023. I do wish I had a softer ride, it's really my only complaint.

The move to the Lightning motors in 2024 was the major before\after epoch marker for the MME WRT performance

In my experience with 3 other EVs that have heat pumps, the difference in winter is significantly more than 20%. My range in winter in all 3 of those vehicles was barely different to the normal summer range. My ‘24 Mach-E GT by contrast loses at least 30% range in winter. I suspect they’re understating the range improvements. But like you, I use the frunk a lot, so I understand the reluctance.

Um... That's a big ask. That's probably in the territory of the 2026 Polestar 4 when they add the air suspension as an option. The Mach-E rides stiff and sporty because that's what they're trying to achieve. The best ride you're going to get in a Mach-E is in the Rally version where it has the extra 30mm-ish of suspension travel combined with the MagnaRide. Even then, it's still quite stiff. As rough as the Mach-E is, it's still a noticeably better ride than its primary competitor -- the Model Y. And, IMO, the '24 GT rides nicer than the Porsche Macan EV, even though the Porsche does grip the road better on curves and corners, in typical Porsche fashion. ...Nice car, my wife is trying to justify one with the delays on the '25 MME we've ordered. But really, aside from the nicer interior and a few other creature comforts, it's just not worth double the price.

The EV6 has a softer ride than the MME but it isn't as fun to drive, IMO. It's also a more expensive car vs. the '25 MME pricing.
My husband has a '25 Porsche Panamera Hybrid. It is a MUCH smoother ride. But the technology in my '22 MME is much better IMO. We have also had the Macan as a rental. I like the MME better...especially when you consider the cost...

I can take the 30% range hit without it impacting my driving quality of life. My first BEV and I of course went overkill on the battery size. I've been tracking my daily mileage on a spreadsheet since I drove off the lot. I'm still averaging 43 miles/day. I did not need the ER trim. Could have saved myself seven grand ?.

My average commute since buying my 2021 was 21 miles round trip. Now that I'm self-employed it's mostly zero, but can range up to 65 miles. So, yeah, I didn't need an extended range battery for range, but I need it because I wanted a GT. ??

HP increased because Ford took the.motor used in the F150 Lightening and placed it on the MME rear axle, providing a 24 HP (7%) increase. It also upgraded the suspension, and replaced the radiant heater with a heat pump for improved efficiency. This helped to improve range to about 300 miles for the awd model. So all told, a significant upgrade over the ‘22.
