First time going camping in the Mach-E. I Tetris'd the shiz out of it, I did have to use the frunk for my suitcase though.
Now to take a cold shower and head out!

I added two small LED tap lights on the inside hood (one on each side of the pony) for additional lighting

haha, no the propane is for a griddle, this campground has showers. Not even I have a propane heater for outdoor showers ?
I encourage you to switch to electric induction cooktop... leave the propane for grilling at home!

jumpers from 12v connection points, and a <$400 inverter are all you need for flameless camping! The 12v can support up to 1800watts pretty comfortably.

There's still time to strap a couch and a TV on top!

I mean ok, I did a bicycle tour in Colorado where I camped out for 7 days in high school baseball fields and I didn't have that much stuff. They would carry up to 2 40lb bags to the next destination while you rode up and down the mountains.

What you have....seems excessive, but to each their own I guess.

Anyone tried one of these? Expensive but better than a roof top tent as carried on hitch behind vehicle so probably better for range. Can also be detached from vehicle and left at a campsite which a roof top tent can’t and can be levelled up on sloping ground with the legs.

Mine too. But my child is curoius about camping, so there's hope yet.
We used to go camping quite a bit. Because of my back the chance of me sleeping on the ground in a sleeping bag is nil, even if I did my wife would say goodbye and laugh.

my son wants to take his son camping in our tent of 40 years, hasn’t been used in 20 years but in our backyard. I got more animals roaming in my backyard than all the campsites I used to visit that I would be scared of sleeping out there And I live in a fenced in house in the suburbs. Coyotes, skunks, foxes , wild cats. a bear was sighted a block away just a week ago.

I am afraid of going in my pool at night. Call me chicken but no more camping for me.

We use the hitch with a rack and dry bag. No need to fold the seats as there are three of us and plenty of extra capacity. Barely us half of the cargo bag for tent, bags, pillows, air mattress, electric pump etc.

Piggybacking on this thread, has anyone taken their MME to a campsite with electricity and charged while camping?

I was thinking this would be doable, after ensuring the site has the same outlet or even NEMA connectors as the Ford charger that comes with the car?

It works I’ve done it a handful of times. Just find a campground with 14-50 plugs

Yeah, several times. Some campsites have 30 amp outlets which don’t work for our Mach-E. Book the ones with 50 amp outlets. You can even book RV sites if the campground allows it.

I do this habitually in our Mach E. National and state parks are great for this as they habitually have the 240V, 50 amp NEMA 14-50 electric receptacles on RV pads. Some county and city parts are good as well.

We pull in, block up our teardrop camper (see my avatar), plug the Mach E in and have fun. By late morning when we are ready to roll after washup, breakfast and activities, the car is usually fully charged or almost so.

FYI - the old-style 30-amp 120V RV spot receptacles, which are often the only electric connection on National Forest and Corps of Engineers RV camping spots, will indeed work but the charger inside our Mach E will derate them to 12 amps as soon as it senses a 120V connection, so a good night's charging will only give about 30 miles or so. And, you have to have a NEMA TTY - NEMA 15-5 adapter to use with the 120V EVSE connector.
