Yeah it’s not a quick release front wheel on the RadRunner plus at least, it’s got the fat tires
Right, but since Patrick is only looking for a one-time transport of the e-bike from the manufacturer, I presume a bit of disassembly/reassembly wouldn't be an issue...

Yeah, I wouldn't want to do it every time, but for this one trip I can remove a wheel or even handlebars. We're getting a Model S from Electric Bike Company (https://electricbikecompany.com/model-s/). I'm going to call them tomorrow to see what they say and then pick it up next week. If nothing else, I might have a friend with a Lightning that can pick it up for me.

And by friend, you mean a test drive of a Lightning to see how well it carries a bike before you decide on buying it. ;)

I managed to fit my cruiser-style ebike into the rear of my Mach-E. I had to remove the front wheel to get it in sideways, but the main frame and battery stayed intact. With the front wheel off, it slid in just fine with the rear seats folded. Good luck getting the factory pickup sorted.

Some good tips for others. I've loaded a zillion bikes in/out of vehicles for many years. Looked at your link and here's what I would try to avoid snagging any bike parts on the interior. Point 5 is one that might be worth doing. I'm thinking your golden on this "one off" run for pickup even though the bike is going to feel way heavier than you think when loading.
1) for most people (especially with disc brakes) leaving the front wheel ON is best so you won't have the dreaded rubbing front brake issue.
2) it's usually simple and easy to loosen the handlebar stem and turn the bars sideways, tighten, to allow you more wiggle room when moving the bike in/out and you should be able to put the bars back in the position you want without festering the brakes/gears. Use a hex key that is on a multi tool for bikes that you should have on your bike anyway to adjust seats and keep an eye on various nuts/bolts.
3) put passenger seat all the way forward and tilt in towards windshield to give you extra clearance. you'll find either the front or rear wheel might just nest in the space you created as long as you don't have a passenger
4) yes the pedals are ready and able to catch the back bumper and interior so be careful. not necessary for you to remove if laying the bike flat in the back but you might have to move the crank arms into a position that best allows your needs. As you are pulling the bike out of back it's usually a pedal that catches unless you've been able to slightly lift the bike off the pedal .
5) front baskets and racks on the bike will definitely be trouble makers and finger crunchers so remove them if it's not a huge issue.
6) IF you have another person helping it goes WAY easier one of you can open a side door and gently guide the bike into place without damage to interior

My e-bike order is ready and I can save some money by picking it up at the factory about 60 miles from my home. That might be the only time I need to transport the bike so I don't want to add a trailer hitch. Has anyone tried fitting a cruiser style e-bike in the cargo area of the Mach-E? Did you have to remove the wheel or anything?
Our Yamaha e-bike fits in the back of Marlin. It's not as easy as my wife's bike as it is larger and heavier, but it does fit.

I will admit, though, it's enough of a pain that I'll usually use the Lightning to transport it instead of the Mach E.
