I dropped my mobile charger handle today and now the button lever is loose. Is there any way to disassemble the handle? Otherwise I end up with a $500 paperweight.

I don’t believe the handles are designed to be repaired. I replaced a handle once and It was not a simple task. The cord is also not designed to be replaced so your best bet is to send it to someone to have the handle replaced. My guess is that it will probably cost around $150. Try QC Charge.

The alternative is a ~ $200 adjustable ESVE to replace the paper weight. It was going to crap out at some point.
Example; https://www.amazon.com/AIMILER-Electric-220V-240V-Portable-Charging/dp/B0CG8D445Q
If you can wire I'd highly suggest Emporia. (they also have plug-able ones on that page)

(Btw I have 2 paperweights)
Thanks, I have a Chargepoint Flex, but I'm in a temporary housing situation and need to rely on the mobile one to get me by. I'll take a look at Aimiler.

Any thoughts on the "Lectron Level 1 / Level 2 EV Charger (12 Amp / 40 Amp) with Dual Charging Plugs " ?

I wouldn't buy a mobile charger that can't be adjusted. That appears to be a fixed rate.
I have fixed my Emporia j1772 handle twice now (due to the same problem you had. i dropped it but it busted the latch and not the release button.)
