I've Had a very good experience with Ford and my dealer. BEACH FORD.
I’ve had no issues other than behind on updates no big deal to me. My only concern is like my dealer, they’ll take care of me as far as a loaner if there’s an issue, but they’re not an electric car dealer, so if they can’t work on them, why they let them have them and sell them that’s my only concern. I was told they are training their technicians in electrical vehicles at this time, they’re going to have to because they’ve got a couple of lightnings on a lot right now too..

I just want to add that I’m not complaining. I love Ford, It’s just if you’re not a certified electric car dealer why do they give them to you, and when someone like me comes in and has never driven one or looked at one and fell head over heels for it and then don’t have the security that it will definitely be taken care if anything goes wrong with it, That’s my only whatever you wanna call it concern lol. One thing that threw me the other day was we were talking about a trade-in value, and they said you’re gonna have to check with Carmax lol since they don’t deal with that car.

I love my car. I do not love the dealer I bought it from, but I love the dealer I now use, Sanderson Ford. And when I had a charger issue, I called their hotline, they reset my charger remotely, and I was up and running within minutes.

In my 2.5 years of ownership, I've had 3 issues: the LVB going bad and needing to be replaced, the HVBJB issue which got replaced, and a wiring issue that affected the cameras which got replaced. In every case, my issue wasn't an emergency, but the car notified me that it needed service, I scheduled the service, and in short order the service was completed. For the HVBJB, they gave me a rental car while I waited 3 days for the repair to finish. For the others, repairs happened so quickly, I needed no replacement car.

I am a Ford fanboy, but that's because they've generally done great (except for that one dealership that I despise).

I have a serviceable dealership near me. They are far from perfect, their communication is sub-par, but they are knowledgeable, and as straight forward as you can really get with a dealership. Would I buy from them again? Probably not, because the add a markup of at least a Lo-Jack type system to everything, and their F&I I don’t really trust. I have a good working relationship with their service department, and they have good techs. That’s what led me to buy from them. I love my GTPE, but it’s pre-emptive throttling bugs me. For that reason alone I don’t know if I will go Ford again. Also, Ford has seemed to gut its customer service team over the past 3 years. Still excited about what Ford is starting to do on the performance side, but considering that they called the 21 GTPE the “performance edition”, I am a little leery.

Neat.

Some people come for discussions and looking for help and solutions.

Some just want to complain and attack anyone who responds.

At least you let us know who we are dealing with. ?‍♂
What would you like to know? Be a tad bit more specific. Personal details ? Car details? What haven’t I covered for you?

Thanks.
Now I know what grandpa (1886-1964) meant when he said " Boy, some folks can argue with a fence post."
I love how you put the years he was alive. Of course I can argue, my career is working in the judicial system.

My grandpa said “some people are as dumb as a rock.” Does that fit here?

I’m so glad I could provide entrainment today on the forum. Very welcoming place lol. It’s funny how triggered people get about their car, Ford, me or whatever. People say they are having a discussion and multiple point of views are good…right up until they don’t agree.

Why all the vitriol here? If you love your car that’s awesome. I love mine but everyone has glossed over my comments about that.

Looking at profiles I’m thinking this bitterness might be from the fact some of you bought their MachE for $10k to $20k above what I paid. So I don’t get accused of not enough data, I paid $46k out the door. Is that it? Do you just not like me? lol. “Can’t we all just get along.” For my younger members here that’s not my quote so I won’t take credit for it.

Lighten up people. If you are in bed with Ford or are a “Ford Guy” that’s great. Own it and move on. This was about spreading the word about bad behavior from Ford not who’s responsible for what or how great Ford. Start a new thread and tell us all what I’m not talking about here. Oh no it’s easier to just criticize and critique what others say. After all my day has been spent on here RESPONDING to posts, not answering constructive questions.

I’ve been called every name you can possibly think of. Had my life threatened by Detroit thugs. Arresting people at the dead of night in scummy trailer camps. All of this IN PERSON not on some Internet forum. Oooooooohhhhh Mr Big Stuff. Not at all. Just pointing out who I am. No offense to anyone or what he or she does for a career.

Do I love to argue? Of course. So do many of you. So what? What you call an argument I can call a discussion same as you are able to.

Real talk: Ford does some good things, and struggles with others. If Mazda had put out a compelling EV, I would have gone that route. Turns out Ford came out with a great looking EV, right at the right time when I was looking to go EV, and I never wanted a Tesla. The game at that point was Tesla, the Bolt, the Leaf and the MME. It was a no brainer. They got me on the trade up to the GTPE, because I wanted more power and the glass roof and better suspension. Then Ford dropped MSRP twice, by a lot, killing my trade-in value. It’s a really good car, just wish it wasn’t neutered.

Now there are more options, when the time comes for another EV, Ford may be in the running, but I am miffed by the misrepresentation of performance, and the 24 model has the performance the 21 should have had.

I’m curious why you and others didn’t lease? Was it not an option at that time? I always go by the rule of never buy a 1st year production vehicle.
