Just want to say thank you for all the help you provide in this forum. It is greatly appreciated.

I had wondered exactly how to find that myself so thank you.

No. It's not necessary either.

The dealer can lock in your incentives on custom orders (or it happens automatically, I can't remember). When the vehicle arrives you'll get the choice of the incentives that were in place at time of order or what is currently available.
So if $2500 was offered when we ordered (in my case Oct '21, with an email from Ford confirming), we can rest assured that we could get that? Would the interest rate offered at that time (assuming top tier credit rating) also be "locked in," subject to the previously stated possibility that the dealer can tack on additional points, up to a limit?

My understanding is that ordered vehicles have the incentives locked in SmartVincent. So the customer can choose between the incentives available at the time of order vs. at time of delivery. Whichever is better.

Thanks, very helpful (as always :))! And reassuring.

Is there a work around for people who will pay less than the current MSRP due to having ordered before the price increase?

I typically use my own loan calculators to figure out payment and make sure the dealer is being honest with the numbers, but I’m not sure how that math works with the balloon payment. Usually you can just use one of these calculators, plug in the total amount financed, the duration of the loan, and the rate to get monthly payments.

Thanks.

The Ford online calculator is not very accurate. Use this one instead for more realistic estimates, it allows more customization.

Do you happen to know what the Ford Options incentives were for SE MI in Nov 2021?

I ordered my non-perf GT a couple weeks before the 12/8/21 price increase, but I wasn’t considering Ford Options and have not yet found what those incentives were at the time.

They’re honoring the price protection (however, they’re unable to directly credit the Park Assist Prep modification…separate issue in more detail here), but quoted me 1.4% and $500 incentive for doing Ford Options when the vehicle arrives next week. However, they’ve never done Ford Options before and we have not yet discussed the incentives that were available at the time of order.

I don’t track the incentives but they were the same for GTs until recently. Back then they were 1.4% and $1,000 Ford Options bonus cash. The bonus cash just changed this month to $500.

Great, thank you. So assuming it was $1,000 for my ZIP at time of order, they should honor this? Anything else I can point them to confirm it?

The dealer should know how to lock the incentives in SmartVincent to the time of order or time of purchase. It’s really basic stuff if your a user of the system.

Wasn’t it $2,500 for the longest time? When I bought my premium in July it was $2,500 and my GTPE in January 2022 it was $2,500 then, too.

Not for SE Michigan. The Ford Options bonus cash amount varies by your zip code.

They told me today that the offer available on 11/29/21 was $1,000 in SE Michigan, but the interest rate for a GT was 2.7x% instead of the 1.4% and $500 it is today, so I can't mix and match the cash and interest.

Also, they tried to have me sign a lease (which I did not), so while I physically have the car right now while they rework the paperwork, I have not completed the Ford Options purchase agreement yet.

Yes, the Ford Options bonus cash was $1,000 in SE Michigan back then. For the GT, now and then the best Ford Options rate was and still is 1.4%.
