I normally only charge to 80%. For some reason, the stupid charge setting is broken again and it’s gone back to charging to 100% and I haven’t had time to fiddle with it yet.Wow, is the GOM that conservative - estimating 188 miles for 99% charge? I know your total range is only supposed to be 270, but that seems low even for the GOM. Weather or having fun on the accelerator?
I have never charged my RWD EX to 100%, but at 80% I usually show 225 miles on the GOM. Since I have owned the car my trip meter shows my average miles/kWh as 3.9.
Yes, my range has dropped dramatically in the winter. I have an ER AWD. In the summer, the range was usually indicating anywhere between 270-300. I usually don’t pay too much attention to the range. I treat the battery level the way I would treat a fuel gauge. I try not to let it get too much below a quarter before I begin thinking seriously about “filling up”. I don’t like the route planners that say “drive 280 miles until your battery is at 3% then charge at this one charger that happens to be the only one for 50 miles. Then drive another 240 miles until your battery is at 9% and charge at another remote charger.” Those are stupid.
