Wow, is the GOM that conservative - estimating 188 miles for 99% charge? I know your total range is only supposed to be 270, but that seems low even for the GOM. Weather or having fun on the accelerator?

I have never charged my RWD EX to 100%, but at 80% I usually show 225 miles on the GOM. Since I have owned the car my trip meter shows my average miles/kWh as 3.9.
I normally only charge to 80%. For some reason, the stupid charge setting is broken again and it’s gone back to charging to 100% and I haven’t had time to fiddle with it yet.
Yes, my range has dropped dramatically in the winter. I have an ER AWD. In the summer, the range was usually indicating anywhere between 270-300. I usually don’t pay too much attention to the range. I treat the battery level the way I would treat a fuel gauge. I try not to let it get too much below a quarter before I begin thinking seriously about “filling up”. I don’t like the route planners that say “drive 280 miles until your battery is at 3% then charge at this one charger that happens to be the only one for 50 miles. Then drive another 240 miles until your battery is at 9% and charge at another remote charger.” Those are stupid.

You think that’s conservative. May I present my AWD ER with 245’s at 12°F.

?
Good thing I was expecting this. And that my actual efficiency can be around 2.3 miles/kwh if I drive reasonable and precondition. So I can squeeze out 180 miles if I want to.

Back up. Looks like the tech team at Ford restarted their DigitalOcean VPS.

Seriously though, this isn't even as hard as a load balancer even, this is route 53 dns basic stuff. Or if that's too hard, a low DNS TTL and a changed IP and quickly restored VM via Veeam to really anywhere.

Just sad. We should get a fob as this is clearly amateur hour. No longer wonder why it took a months for a sketchpad.

Mine was showing 158mi, I went out to the car and started it up, the instrument panel showed 172mi, and the next time I refreshed the FordPass app, it too showed 172mi.

Maybe it has something to do with me receiving 2.1.0 this evening; no clue.

I think there's a team is probably a bunch of kindergartners. Managing it out of the country like Mumbai or the Philippines or something.

My car also failed to charge overnight as scheduled and I walked out to an “orange” mobile charger light. Is this related? Worked fine after I unplugged it and then plugged it back in. Does the scheduled charging only work if it has a connection to the server? Seems dumb but I’ve seen dumber from other IoT devices.
I thought like that I also had a dashboard for primary something wrong with the drive system the charger ring and not to be bad

Nah. I ran a team in Kochi, Kerala who knew more than most IT guys within the US. Even the Tamil Nadu team had KPI's and SLAs to adhere to.

This screams of a team of good 'ol boys in middle America who were talked into managing 'the servers. Those are now a barren wasteland of old ESXi hardware running X5650's that was likely just patched for log4j today which took around 12 hours or so if I had to guess.

I want to love this car, the ride is awesome, but the electronics are still Ford.

Should have seen that coming, was naive to think otherwise.

We have been patching the hell out of ESXi hosts at work with little to no outages... Even had to do it twice because the first fix was ineffective.

Living in DevOps with a continuous deployment happy team means constantly swapping out the load balancer targets, with sometimes even doing mid-day production work. No one notices a thing.

We have so many companies that have full DR-sites, and methods of restoration in minutes, not hours, so I can only imagine something went to shit completely, or it's amateur hour.

Guess I just want the FordPass app to have better time-to-restore than a cPanel host from the early 2000's.

Standalone app just me the phone and karma over BT. At least for paak both rows and charging (pop up and scheduling). Have no need to get frustrated with their servers. Especially when it appears to be a common trend.
