I see two of the three enhancements. I cannot find "Schedule Remote Start." Can anyone direct me where I can see this new feature? Thanks

Actually they have done things. They’ve update modules in the car. What you’re actually saying is you don’t see a change, therefore there is no change.
I might just be too used to when I had my tesla model 3 , but I don't think it should take this long to provide a simple fix for propulsion sound turning itself off for example. Updated modules, great. But it shouldn't take months to fix simple simple simple things.

It's obvious everyone here has different expectations/ tolerances to software.

Looks like remote start while unplugged works now.
But there’s been zero fixes so far too …..
1) that you know of. We aren’t looking at the innards of the car’s software.
2) this isn’t a tablet, where a new bug is no big deal. It’s an automobile, where a new bug can lead to an accident. There is great interest in getting it right, not just pushing for the sake of pushing and getting their OTA count up.
Yes, I’d love to see the tone bug fixed. But there are workarounds, and it is a very minor issue, not worth pushing an OTA and possibly introducing new bugs.

Here you go.... And no, I don't believe we have seen any discernable bug fixes, let alone new features, sine this was promised nearly 5 months ago. The two OTA updates released thus far have supposedly been to "lay the groundwork" for future substantive updates, not that we can even really verify that.

That update was probably in many cars before they were delivered.

Let me revise my comment: this is worth pushing an OTA, particularly with other UI bug fixes. I don’t want to see them pushing a bug fix every other week.

As a former software designer, we pushed bug fixes for our hosted applications about quarterly, and the fear/expectation was that the patch would have its own undiscovered bugs that would then have to be fixed in the next patch. Why? Because we had a patch deadline: the patch was to be issued on a set day, not when the bug count got to zero.

I want Ford to forego this software industry trend and push the patches when the bug list gets to zero, not because patches have been scheduled.

As a former software designer then you should recognize that the bug list will never ever get to zero.

Have to make a tradeoff somewhere.

I enter that button but it directs me to scheduling
But it appears to be an enhanced departure time feature. I cannot find where you can schedule to remote start your Mach-E

Correct. This allows you to schedule a remote start time based on your usual departure (can be from home, work, whatever).

The point was, if you score your pushes by how close you were to the planned release date instead of the bug count, you will have more bugs.

It’s the difference between measuring success based on on time departures versus of safe arrivals.

The cadence with your former model 3 was much faster compared to the initial releases of software improvements to the model S. Tesla has a much longer history of doing this. It won't take Ford as many years because there is a model to follow, but it will take them some time to get it right.

Great, I will try that. I thought that may be what you do but was not clear
