Doug Fields. Former Tesla, former Apple. Chief Officer EVs and Digital Systems. The further up in an organization you are, the less effect you have on day to day operations and activities.

Besides, what makes you think this isn’t an improvement over where they’d otherwise have been? ;)
For those that went through power up 1.4 all we can say is thank you Doug. There was nowhere to go but up back then. Updates have been downloading and installing here lately. That right there is a big improvement.

App says it will start charging at 6PM car still says 10PM as set ?‍♂ Not a time zone issue as I am fords Detroit time more commonly known to most as eastern time.

The choice of how Carplay works was and is entirely Apple's. There's nothing for Ford to fix.
Are you implying that Ford & Apple don’t talk? Or that Ford doesn’t suggest what they would like to see on their hardware?

The change is not exclusive to Ford. It’s also not unique to the Mach-e within Ford. The layout with a larger screen area was in existence prior to the new ui and the required large screen area. It’s also that way in other brand cars. Next time I’m on the mainland at our house there, I’ll take a picture if you like. Don’t hold your breath though. If people are so adamant about a left right screen split within CarPlay, it’s apple they need to talk to.

It now appears to charge your car in negative time. It’s telling me that my car which was just plugged in will finish charging 4 hours in the past!

Same for me.

Can you tell Ford to suggest to Apple they give me their browser when in park?
I suspect Apple will suggest you get an iPhone or an iPad for a superior browsing experience ?

Since we are jumping to CarPlay how come the Nav in CarPlay no longer shows my destination battery %. What did I do and how do I get it back

regarding Fordpass. I thought I was just ok before but this last update shows how incompetent their developers are. My app now says the car is waiting to charge from 5 pm to 8:25 pm and it is already 8 :05 pm. In addition for the first time the departure time didn’t work as well as my changing the preferred charge %. They are going backwards.

One step forward, one step back is the FordPass moto.

I would be happy with 1 step forward and 1 back, may not be progress but at least status quo.

how many of their app updates have caused problems? And on,y moved backwards

how many of their app updates have caused problems?
70%-80%

Usually they fix one bug, and introduce at least one new one. Like in this situation they fixes The Secure Alert bug, but introduced a timezone bug.

Most of the times the bugs are fixed, but sometimes they are never even acknowledged. For example the tiny car icon in the app and the watch was a bug that was introduced years ago and has never been fixed.

Same. This update is a joke. It’s currently 2:45 pm Tuesday, battery at 31%, FordPass shows an estimated finish time of 12:23 pm. That’s over two hours and fifteen minutes in the past. Hahaha, just plain stupid. Between seeing something like this, and what I’m sure has to be the most annoying and intrusive driver’s door wind noise issue, I’m running out of humor and patience with this car. Substandard brakes, too. Ugh.
My car is scheduled to charge between noon and 4 pm HST daily. The pve system batteries are usually full by that time and the system is producing excess electrons.

I plugged the car in just before 3pm today when I got back from Kona. It stopped charging at 4 pm HST. This is what FordPass shows for when it’ll get to 80%

5:52 am tomorrow makes zero sense no matter how badly they’ve messed with time zone calculations. It’ll take a smidgen over 3 hours tomorrow to get to 80%.

I guess we know what they broke this time.

4 PM HST Tues is 02:00 GMT Wed (actual charge finish time). Time zone offset -10 GMT. Double that so -20 GMT. 02:00 GMT - 20 = 06:00 HST Tues (05:52 is close). Seems the day matches GMT?

I could be wrong, but applying the GMT offset twice seems to be the pattern (times are handled by the server in GMT and corrected locally).
