My driving history is completely off the rails. Today, I drove 46.3 miles, used 9.7kwh, for 4.8 miles/kWh. Nope, I drove 30 miles. maybe 31. The previous trip was yesterday, and that’s really messed up. 13.9 miles, 0.8kwh, for a whopping 17m/kWh. No, I drove 4 miles, tops. I have not seen where I can view my history on the car, so I’m going to look in the manual for that, but is everyone else seeing the same thing in FordPass? I thought maybe the miles driven was the difference between my starting range and ending range, but today I started out at 209 miles, ended at 174, so 35 miles of range lost on 30-31 mile trip (was driving 75-80 on interstate).

Yes there's a well-known issue where your trip data doesn't reset and gives erroneous data like you saw. The workaround is to basically reboot the car until it resets. Don't put your foot on the brake, just hit the power button, turn it back off, and then when you turn on the car fully, it should have reset. To calculate your actual energy usage, you'll have to subtract the milage from your previous trips since the last time it reset (math!).

Edit: remember, the "G" in guess-o-meter (GOM) is exactly what it says and errs on the conservative side. You're always going to see a disparity.

Total miles driven according to FordPass, 704.4, odometer, 662. Oops. This seems straight forward. Car is powered on, start trip, car is powered off, end trip. An error of 25 miles in just the last two trips. I could see the estimated kWh used being inaccurate, but not the miles driven, and it should never overlap trips, that makes no sense.

The vehicle frequently fails to reset the trip meter, this has been a known bug since day 1 and seems like a low hanging fruit when it comes to fixes, yet it carries on. While the miles driven shown in the vehicle is wrong when this happens, but it appears that the vehicle uses the correct mileage when calculating mi/kWh; FordPass does its own calculations, based on the incorrect number of miles logged, and produces mind-boggling numbers when this problem occurs after a very short drive immediately following a long one: I have seen "efficiency" north of 350 mi/kWh for my car. I don't particularly care though, I am more interested in keeping track of the dollar amount spent on charging.

My driving history is completely off the rails.

I ignore the GOM.... I much prefer to look at battery % as I typically try to keep it between 50%-80% by charging for a couple hours avery couple days unless I know I have a long day coming up....

The GOM is 'somewhat' useful for seeing estimated range based on a cumulative average of your daily drive miles/kWhr in drive history, but not useful for one-way highway driving at all since speed, elevation, and temperature can change during the trip and not average out accurately.

I would suggest 'resetting' drive history periodically to account for seasonal temp changes, and also reset before/after extended road trips that exceed your daily range.

I typically use 'Trip 2' as a trip odo for my daily work trips... and manually reset each day of use to count my work miles. I've found it to be accurate, and it avoids the 'auto-sometimes' reset of 'this trip'.

I never said anything about GOM. So far, it’s been reasonable. I’m referring to the EV driving history in the app. I was curious how m/kWh would compare to my Leaf, and for feedback on how efficient I can be on different roads, but it’s like comparing Apples to a flat earther’s brain, the Apple being Leaf’s EV history and the latter being FordPass’ driving history, full of inaccurate data and flat out lies!

oooohhhhhh, I've never even looked at driving history in FordPass. I thought you were talking about the Trip info and GOM in the vehicle.

I use FP primarily for PAAK, and occasional remote lock/unlock, or remote start 10 minutes before I go somewhere. I don't count on FP for anything else.

Seriously though if you care then start accessory mode first and then start car with brake pressed. It will clear My Trip mileage. If you remote start then it will not clear My Trip. I only look at mi/kWh on screen so no big deal to me but I do wish they would fix it.

So I should take this with a grain of salt? Was trying to figure out where I could have possibly driven to that was 11 miles away. My only destination was 4 miles away - still a little perplexed at the mi/kwh
