FordPass Not Working

Hi - Last night my wife and I both noticed our Mach E info wasn't updating on the FordPass app (i.e. wasnt showing that it was charging, or providing an accurate/updated charge %). We have different phones (android and apple). Issue wasnt resolved overnight and persists today.

When i go to refresh the app, it just pinwheels for a while and doesnt update.

The vehicle still shows in the app, but is frozen seemingly from 13 hours ago. Ironically, the only thing updating is how long since the app worked.

Vehicle still charged on our home L2 as scheduled last night.

I have the same issue as of yesterday when my car did an update. Now I can not get an update on the Ford Pass of status of charge. It did charge last night as scheduled but I wanted to charge up to 100 because I know I will need it today to do a longer run to the airport etc. and I can't not do anything. So frustrating, did it resolve or did you come up with any solutions?

Nope, still not functioning at all. Very frustrating as I am traveling.

Oh no, sorry your are having the issue too. Good Luck traveling. I'll let you know if I come up with anything. Just tried deleting the FordPass and reinstall, no go. Looks like I may have even lost some things like the window and frunk buttons now!

Oh no, sorry your are having the issue too. Good Luck traveling. I'll let you know if I come up with anything. Just tried deleting the FordPass and reinstall, no go. Looks like I may have even lost some things like the window and frunk buttons now!

Same here. Noticed this morning that the app did not show the correct charge. Checked in the car and the charge info was correct.

I have been a reasonably happy MME and FordPass user…albeit for only 5 months. But, I too am now experiencing some connectivity issues when setting Departure Times from FordPass.. Yesterday AM I set a 2:15PM Tuesday departure time. It was over 100 in the parking lot and I could see the car from my window. I looked out at 2:10 and the grill lovers were not opened. I walked out at 2:15….nothing….no precooling….UNTIL I came within range of the car at which point everything came on.

I also find that the toggle switch in the app does not allow me to activate or deactivate the Departure Times that have been set up in the app (but apparently not recognized by the car)… I merely get a warning that the app could not sync with the car and to try again later. It never works later.

I wonder if there are many Ford software engineers all working on the app….and all affecting each others’ work. One day something works; the next day it doesn’t….here today gone tomorrow. I have zero confidence in relying on this to drive my MME; there is no substitute for a good ole fob in my pocket.

It's hard to accept that I just have to live with Ford Pass not working properly. Every time I do a hard reset I lose something. Even after it came back from the dealership and they did a reset, I lost a number of features. Very discouraging. People ask how what I think of the car. Love the performance and handling. But can't say anything positive about the electronics.

I have the same issue. A recent update to the car caused the Waiting to Charge, Charging and Charge Complete messages to no longer show up in FordPass.

The issue with Departure times has been discussed here since last December. For me, Ford Pass has been working very well lately, Departure times is the only function that does not work . Entering your time in the car directly is ok, it is only when you use the app that it does not consistently work. Pay attention to the 'box' Departure times button in the app and if the time shows up there it most likely is ok, but it might take a few tries. I am hoping with winter coming that FP would finally fix this. I live in upstate NY and I am on call so if I have to go in the middle of the night I get about 30 min to try to warm up the battery. But when the setting wouldn't take, all I could do was start the car and warm up the cab.

I also experienced the same issue a few months ago where after an update my FP app barely worked. I tried everything. Then after about 4 days it just went back to normal. There have been posts about waiting before panicking. After 2.5 years and 40k miles I have learned that patience is the best approach with this car.

There seem to have been some server issues. I'm getting a "partial response" message in the FP app, which gives me no real updating of the app. Since I don't really use it for the "connected features," it doesn't much inconvenience me. I can see where it'd be a big PITA for someone who relied on those features. ??

@smoke20 the setting of departure times in the app has been a problem since Day 1. It often (99% of the time) doesn't update at all, regardless of proximity to the vehicle. If you need to do a remote start on a hot day, the "Start" button in the app does the same thing if you're not plugged into an L2 EVSE. You can then set your new schedule in the car after it's started conditioning the cabin. ??
