Did a search and couldn't find any info.
TL, DR: Are there any options in the MME, FP, or the simple Android Widget to create an Alert for low HVB? I don't think so. Would be nice to have a push notification let's say 12 hours before a certain time thus reminding this dumby to plug in. :)

My 30 mile one way commute to work has no chargers along the route. On the Air Force Base there are numerous charges but for some unknown reason none of them are operational. I made three mistakes yesterday; not charging, should have drove to nearest DC fast charger before work, and I should have put the portable charger in the car.

Yesterday for the first time in 14 months I forgot to charge so I decided to plug in (48A) wait 35 minutes and leave for work. We had a operation I didn't want to be late to. I knew I probably wouldn't have enough to get home and not knowing how long MME would run with 0% 0 Miles I decided to find a charge station near base. One place is fairly close to base, not too far out of the way home but has bad reviews, only two J-1772, and reported to be very slow. Didn't want to spend hours there trying to get juice and wasn't certain I could get anywhere else if no juice.

I went the opposite way from home to the next closest location, a CalTrans facility that listed 16 stations but I could only find 4. Had difficulty starting the charge and two a-holes where blocking two charges. Finally got one started and after 91 minutes thought I should be good. I did visit one of my favorite mexican restaurants which was nice as I rarely visit this small city.

It was hot and although in the morning I didn't run AC, on the way home it was over 100 and I made the choice to run AC. I also drove very conservative both ways. On the trip home, again there are no public chargers other than the one I spoke about with bad reviews. I had 6 miles more range than I needed to get home so decided to go for it. 3/4 of the way home I needed to make a decision to go the planned route with back road (less miles, quicker, no chargers) or stay on the highway where there are a few L2s ~5 miles closer than going back roads to my house. The DC fast chargers would have been the same distance as my house so that wasn't a good option.

Decided to go the back roads home and was successful with 0% 2 Miles. Lessons learned, kind of fun, and great mexican food.

Are there any options in the MME, FP, or the simple Android Widget to create an Alert for low HVB? I don't think so. Would be nice to have it push a notification say 12 hours before a certain time thus reminding this dumby to plug in. :)

There is a warning in the car’s settings. I have mine set at 30. Don’t remember what the other options are.

Since it sounds like you have a 48A L2 charger at home... just plug in immediately every-time-you-arrive-at-home(!)

Be sure to set a max charge of 90% for your home location.

Yes I usually do but forgot. ;( Hopefully that won't happen again. 16k miles and first time.

Glad you made it! I'm not aware of such a feature in FP. I would suggest you simply set a nightly reminder on your phone to charge and when it triggers, quickly think to yourself whether or not it's actually plugged in.

As for plugging in as soon as you get home, in the heat up in Roseville it is better to wait a couple hours after getting home before you start to charge. That gives the car a chance to cool down. I have my car set to only charge at night so that (typically) won't start charging as soon as I get home - that is unless I get home really late...

Your charger’s app may have a function too. ChargePoint reminds me every day at 9:15 PM to plug in if it’s not already connected.

Great idea. I just checked and it does not look like Ford Connected Charge Stations have any settings for that. Bummer.

Thank you. Great ideas! Yes it has been hot 100+.

So you're asking for a notification at a certain time each day if the car isn't plugged in and the SoC is below some percentage?

@kennelth - I was hoping you would see this :) If you think that's a good/easy idea it would be very cool. I'm happy to help test again. But understand if it's time consuming and not a popular idea. Thanks!

I've been spending this week trying to learn Kotlin; this might be an excuse to try using it.
