Free BlueCruise renewal?

My BlueCruise subscription is about up. I wanted to check out what it would cost to renew, and I found the following screens. Is this telling me I have a free option? And if so, why are they asking for payment on the last screen?

That’s what it seems like however you may want to call Ford Connective Services.

Some cars (most 2021s?) got free one year renewals. I think it needs a credit card because it checks for one before processing the renewal - you won't be charged.

I think they're doing it because they promised Blue cruise updates and people paid expecting that but it took them half a lifetime to actually push the updates.

2023 model, its showing for me 1 year free as well. My actual is ends 2026

I had the same thing. It renewed at no charge. Awesome.

Thanks for this - just renewed for an extra year (2027 instead of 2026) for free. Knew nothing about this. My wife gets the Ford stuff, and maybe she ignored.

I have a 2024 and it’s still showing $495 for an annual fee.

I have a 2022 and found the $0 offer. I selected it, approved the card number, and ordered it. Now Connected Services shows that BlueCruise will renew on August 4, 2025, for 1 year at $0. Nice!

I have 21 and have paid for the $600 3 year extenstion. Sitll on 1.0 BC. My options only show a 1 year extenstion for $250. I do not have a free 1 year extenstion option.

I have a 2022. Saw the thread a few weeks ago about the free 1 year extension. I have banked points from when I bought the car, and when they did the HVBC recall. I chose to use points to pay the zero balance due. That way I could put a firewall on charging my credit card if something was hinky. It worked. So my BC expires 7/15/25 and the extension takes it to 7/15/26. I don’t use it much, but I do use the ACC all the time. I’m not sure if losing BC would impact ACC but now I don’t need to worry about that for another year.
