Bluecruise Renewal?

Can someone refresh my memory...what do you lose once trial is over? Does it still do everything (i.e. lane centering) other than hands free? Does it still show the blue bubble that you get when it is Bluecruise Hands ON?

One of the many Job 1 cars that renewed for $600/3 years. I agree with the vast majority here; if I have to pay $800/year for the system I'll run away FAST!!! That is Ludicrous money (and I don't mean the Rapper).

I have an early 2023 (June build) that came with 1.2 and the 3 years of service. I also have a 90 mi round trip commute that is really all Bluecruise enabled.

I love “bluecruising” to work and would pay the $800/yr if forced to.

I get that Ford is not cool with 1.3 or 1.4 but roll out 1.2 to the masses. It works…

Zero chance I'll pay $800/yr for Bluecruise. In fact, the whole situation is infuriating.

I don't do enough long distance driving to justify $800 per year. When it comes time we'll see if they offer a monthly or at $400 or so for 3 years I'd probably say yes.

That wouldn‘t solve anything since it’s not the software version that‘s slowing things down. It’s the deployment.

If a vehicle was bought where BC was $600, renewal should be $600. If it was $2,100, the renewal should be that.

All 2022s should be $600 to renewal.

Yes, you still get “Hands On” BlueCruise with LC and ACC etc. The only thing you lose is swapping the eye nanny for the hand nanny. (Plus assisted lane changes if you had BC1.2+).

$800 a year is an awful steep price for that added functionality. (Especially considering the hand nanny is easy to trick).

I renewed for three years at $600. No way in hell I’d pay $800 for a year, and I highly doubt that price is gonna stick for much longer.

I'm sure this has been covered a thousand times, but how many renew your Bluecruise? Pros and cons? Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

I finally rode in a friend's Tesla with the latest "self driving". I think they are charging $99/month so $1200 a year and usually there's yearly sub discount so maybe $1000/year.

Our bluecruise is nice but basically just better freeway cruise control. It's not in the same category as Tesla's offering no matter what they think. My friend drove from his house in San Francisco to a restaurant on the peninsula with only one glitch. I saw around town driving that was nearly perfect and better than 99% of drivers and probably better than my driving (more polite and correct especially to bicyclists). I would pay $1000/year for the tesla feature and maybe $100/year for better cruise control. It really should be just included. It's cruise control!!!

I do like BC (my '23 had 3 years included) and use it every day because I'm minutes from a covered freeway - I use cruise control in my other cars a lot. I'd probably not renew and just use cruise control / lane assist without BC at that price.

I sincerely hope Ford drops the price considerably considering Tesla's price point before I have to renew. I probably don't be able to stomach the price, even though I use the feature a lot.

I still haven’t pulled the trigger on my $600 3yr renewal. I don’t do much highway driving. I still have the discounted renewal price if I change my mind.
